Hey, guys!

 

At first- I'm very sorry about posting maybe quite an ignorant question, but I'm totally lost here. I played NWN six years ago and I completed the game. I started as a druid and it became my favorite class. After a super long break I decided to install the game and I'm lost, because I don't remember how to complete the Druid training I'm supposed to cast a spell to heal wounds of the guy kneeling on the floor, but even after I rest, the spell is still inactive. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!!!

Did you slot either a cantrip cure minor wounds or Level 1 cure light wounds in your spell book before you rested?

Yes, I did! And that's what makes me wonder. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I clicked and dragged the spells to memorize them, went to rest and the spell is still inactive showing "0".

 

Edit: It must have glitched! I restarted the game, tried resting again and the spell finally got active. Thanks!

Yeah, that's an odd one alright.  

 

Just as a sanity check... you are patched to the v1.69 patch, right? And vanilla with no haks or overrides installed?

 

Should it burp in the OC again, I suggest saving the character and then using it briefly in another module, either one of the other BW campaigns or a CC module.

 

Glad to hear a simple reload fixed it, though. woohoo!

Yes, I recently updated to 1.69 because of the silver skinned characters issue that I had when I started the game. I have the Diamond edition with all the add-ons. I will do as you suggest, just to make sure everything's right. Thank you for being so attentive! It feels so great to play this game again after years and years, haha. Yaaay!
