Having a moon and the crawfish is enough to id Cole card has the Moon because it is the only card with a crawfish and the moon in it. Just like having Cassandra in black armor on a white horse holding a black and white flag makes hers Death.
Someone holding a sword is not enough to id his card has Justice, there are many more tarot cards with people holding swords.
I'm just saying he doesn't HAVE to have a balance for him to be Justice.
Solas: People have said Hermit, but I disagree. There are two things that my eyes are drawn to immediately. One is the halo around his head and the other are the four circles surrounding him. There aren't too many cards where the depicted person has a radiating halo like that. Specifically, The Hanged Man and Temperance appear to be the only cards with that characteristic. I have seen alternate Temperance arcana (okay Persona...and that that is about it for what I am personally aware of, but I am sure that this idea predates Persona) which represents Temperance as symbols for the four elements since Temperance represents the blending of opposites. Now if you look closely at the four circles in Solas's card, you'll notice that they each have a different symbol in the center, so they each represent something different (i.e., different elements). So I'm going with Temperance for Solas.

actually even without bianca that wouldn't be too bad of a choice.
"the lovers" often have cupid with a bow and a sun above them, so it's kinda perfect. maybe we'll finally hear Bianca's story? well, a girl can dream.

I prefer this new tarot card approach. Hopefully, the developers will try a different companion selection approach for each new game going forward.

Yea I do not like the black background at all. I thought it was the best in dragon age awakening. But I guess nothing to be done about it now.
I think Varric might be The Tower myself. The body of the crossbow when imposed over his chesthair sort of looks like a building hit by lighting/fire, which is the typical image depicted on the card, but I offer my opinion based less on the art and more on the fact Varric is the only companion that was involved in and present for the events that brought about the destruction of the Chantry (the tower) - which effectively began this whole sh*tstorm.

I prefer the model selection screen too.
These tarot card selections i just dont like the look of. I'd even prefer just normal portraits to the tarot style they have gone for.

I agree I liked the real characters. I wouldn't have minded the tarot cards being something you push for level up or inventory or something.

Does anyone know more?

Well Dark Horse is releasing a DAI playing card deck that looks to be using some of the art. A tarot deck has 22 more cards than a normal deck though, so some art work will be missing (which may or may not be the major arcana art work).why wasn't Varric 'The hanged man' (that would have been kinda appropriate!!!!)
I am so hoping Bioware release a pack independently.

That's a beautiful vid and it's great to see a girl freaking out about DA:I but really, she needs to learn a little more about the Tarot...
Alright, I'm home now. So here is a list of the major arcana and a couple of the minor that I can identify. Note that I am identifying companions as either default, positive, or negative. Default is the card that they start with, positive is their card of the other two that looks like ti has more positive emotions to it, and negative is the one that looks like it has more negative emotions to it. I have no idea on what triggers any of them (except Varric's negative) so I could very well get some of them wrong.
The Fool- Sera Default
Magician- Dorian Default
The High Priestess- Viv Default
Empress- Cassandra Negative(calling this one negative is a stretch)
Emperor- Some pale Orlesian(?) with Flemethish hair, going with it being Viv Positive although the skiin tone is completely wrong
Heirophant- Solas Positive
Lovers- Varric Default
Chariot- Dorian Positive
Justice- Blackwall Positive
Hermit- Solas Default
Wheel of Fortune- Iron Bull Negative
Strength- Cassandra Default
