First time there I didn't know we could leave the deep roads either and ended up having to lower the difficulty after running out of pots and not having a healer in the group.
Made same mistake of leaving redcliffe before the night battle and that was even hearing the warnings I just plain forgot.
I don't remember now which game has the loading screen message about saving your game often but this is one thing I fail at even today. I have done this far to many times to list.
I know this thread is meant for DA stuff but after reading through the posts I thought of what so far has been the most embarrassing thing I have ever done in a video game and that is saying something since I am known in MMOs as that person who has died every way possible and thought I would share. The game was Everquest back in 1999. For those that don't know your skills increased by using them and as a cleric there were a few spells I didn't use much. Also to get from one continent to the other you either had to have a druid or wizard friend to port you or you rode the boats and I was cheap so I always rode the boat.
Setting is me standing on the dock waiting for boat to show up so I decided to practice one of my spell lines and fastest and lowest mana cost was my root spell. First mistake was picking this spell near water and second mistake was for me to practice alcohol tolerance at the same time. In that game after drinking the screen would get all blury and your character would start bouncing around to mimic being drunk. Well the root spell didn't stop you from the bouncing and I bounced right off the dock into the water in front of a bunch of people. So now I am rooted to the ground under water and being to drown and I can't move at all. Probably the only time that spell affect lasted for the full duration and I died. It has been over 10 years since that happened and I can feel my face getting red just typing this and I never did hear the end of that, everyone on that server knew about that. Oh good times indeed.
