Is it possible, using a script, to place a creature at a waypoint in an area different from the area that the script was called from? Example I have a questgiver in Area_01 and, after a conversation which runs a spawn script, I want those creatures to spawn in Area_02 at certain waypoints in Area_02.

Only if the other area is in the same area list as the first. Even then you may experience some weirdness and need to additionally set the location of the created creature to the waypoint where it was theoretically created. Generally it is best to set a plot flag, then check for that flag on the second area's EVENT_TYPE_AREALOAD_PRELOADEXIT.
