You go into multiplayer (can't do it from a lobby) and click on 'Challenges' (below 'Store' I believe) select the challenge you want and then 'Display as <something>'

 

Also, been having the same problem, my achievement points and N7 have been updating, but the challenges haven't.

Main Menu > Multiplayer > Challenges > Find the completed challenge > Click "Set as active reward"

Oh so it's not just me having this problem. At least now I know it's not something on my end. I only just got into multiplayer too

Just chatted with EA support, reply as follows;

 

"I discussed this issue with specialist and he told me that they are investigating this issue due to some technical glitch player's N7HQ not updating., he told me this issue is on priority so get resolved in next few days."

It's in a more accessible at-a-glance format, plus you have overviews of your store unlocks, plus-plus it's where you set alternate banners.

Nothing earth shattering,but it's the only way to access the alt banners,and overviewing your info is so much easier with n7hq.

Mostly because you don't need to quit the lobby to check n7hq.

 

Also because some of us wrote their own programs that analyse n7hq data according to their own wishes and display the results in a ore pleasing format. For example., sometimes you want to know what challenges you're at over 80% (or 70% or 90% or whatever) on so you can coordinate, and you don't want to be limited to the two closest golds.

 

And by "some of us" I mean me.

Yeah, I noticed this last night. You can still change banners from N7 HQ though.

I'd already unlocked the banner I was swapping to before N7 HQ actually went down. If you unlocked the banner after it went down then you won't be able to swap to it.
