I'm a little surprised to see STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl on this list. I played probably around 10 hours of that game and didn't really find it that memorable. While I was mildly interested in finding out what had happened to the player-character and how it related to all the factional conflicts and supernatural phenomena, the lack of a fast-travel option killed it for me once I started to explore more of the game world. The combat/stealth mechanic wasn't interesting enough to make it entertaining to retrace my steps to the degree necessary to keep going, and there's hardly any opportunity for your character to have real conversations with other people along the way.
It's a decent game from what I saw of it, probably a solid 7/10, but I don't think it belongs on anybody's "top" list of anything.
I also find the Bioshock series a little overrated, and the first one might even be my least favorite of the three. Yeah, Rapture is cool (as is Columbia in Infinite), but for games that clearly want to have a point beyond just being cool, I think the point is sometimes either made ineffectively or turns perhaps unintentionally cynical, at least in 1 and Infinite. I wouldn't have Bioshock 1 on "best of" lists, and certainly not as #14 out of 100.
