Apart from Doom (and Doom 2 was a much better game), that is a list of console games and is mostly irrelevant from a PC gamers perspective. Two examples immediately spring to mind. First Neverwinter Nights is not on it and second the game with possibly the worst control system ever (on PC) is - Deadspace. Deadspace is nigh on unplayable because of the control choices that were made.

Edit

What ? It was a fan vote ? lol. That explain a lot of thing. Horrible list. That explain why the TLOS is ranked number one. Lot of young/new gamer probably voted or folk with short term memory,

Quiet, Jon Snow

I tried so hard, and got so far, but in the end it doesn't even matter.

Like every list I've seen crazy biased in favor of western games. At least Portal 2 wasn't number one I guess.

Lol.

Well, Empire Magazine focuses on film, not games... though even GameInformer magazine's Top 100 doesn't work that well for me.

Call of Juarez? o.O

Goldeneye found a decent way to pull off an FPS on a 64-bit console(the shooting system is based off of Virtua Cop), but I'd never put that in the top 10.

I'm a little surprised to see STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl on this list. I played probably around 10 hours of that game and didn't really find it that memorable. While I was mildly interested in finding out what had happened to the player-character and how it related to all the factional conflicts and supernatural phenomena, the lack of a fast-travel option killed it for me once I started to explore more of the game world. The combat/stealth mechanic wasn't interesting enough to make it entertaining to retrace my steps to the degree necessary to keep going, and there's hardly any opportunity for your character to have real conversations with other people along the way.

It's a decent game from what I saw of it, probably a solid 7/10, but I don't think it belongs on anybody's "top" list of anything.

I also find the Bioshock series a little overrated, and the first one might even be my least favorite of the three. Yeah, Rapture is cool (as is Columbia in Infinite), but for games that clearly want to have a point beyond just being cool, I think the point is sometimes either made ineffectively or turns perhaps unintentionally cynical, at least in 1 and Infinite. I wouldn't have Bioshock 1 on "best of" lists, and certainly not as #14 out of 100.

Not bad, most of my favorites are on there.  Super Mario Bros should be in the top 10.  And as much as I enjoyed World of Warcraft, it can be pushed down a bit.
