I played it at gamescom 2014 in cologne for 30 min and all I can say: IT's AWESOME.

 

Amazing graphics, amazing cutscenes, amazing combat. I love it. I just preordered

No need to be jelly, it was really short. I had to play it with a xbox controller but it was still nice.

I had a premade char but all party members. (Mage, rogue, tank warrior 2 hand warrior) and I was running around in a swamp. Didnt see a castle or a town. It was dark most of the times. But everything really looked awesome. The light reflections on wet stones in the dark... omg... the water.. the wet wood.... amazing! DA2 IS NOTHING compared to the look of DAI.

 I didnt look at my race or gender, I was trying to figure out the action and tactical combat and the use of XBOX controller

 

And I did a few quests in the swamp. 30 min isnt really much if you have to figure out how to play with a Xbox controller---

I was literally two and a half hours away from Cologne just a week before Gamescom, and I completely forgot it was happening so I missed it.

Still smacking myself in the forehead for that.

Right now, Im almost convinced that BW cant screw it up anymore. They fixed so many things I hated in DA2. The repeating maps for expample. We got a huge world to explore. Amazing tactical combat and you can finally zoom out a bit more then in DA2.

 

The only thing I wish is that they would release a modding tool. I asked one of the devs if they could do it, knowing that they already stated that there is NO PLANS for modding. I begged telling them how awesome Skyrim sold, and how many millions of modders would buy DAI

They said that the Engine doesnt support modding ....

I don't support death & taxes yet that doesn't mean it never happens.
