Is that weird or what? This is a meta tile. How can I fix this?

It's a missing texture, either normal or illumination map. Possibly the tintmap (tinting only possible if your using my tileset package).

Hi Kamal. I moved the shadow fortress folders away from the campaign folder and then the textures appeared. It is solved I would say because I was not planning on tinting this tileset. Thanks for the reply.

I love this tileset and use the hell out of it -- if you're going to be doing work with it, it would be awesome -- would love to see it toyed with.

Can you tell me which specific tile that is? That will help me find if and see if it's a problem with my work.

I think I generally had problems with this tileset. This image was just an example. I had a whole 12x12 area in shadow fortress in red-yellow-green with 2Ds all around. So I would say that for me it was... all the tiles problematic? But the image above is a metatile, which is weird because the problem was only on one corner of it. I am not in front of the toolset right now but it was one of the bridges metatiles.

As for the 12x12 area, I tried other things too. Even giving it std floor and walls but I wa still getting same results. Only when I removed the texturing and mdb folders it got normal, but of course now even if I change the textures they don't get changed. Which I'm OK with it as I said, because I don't plan retexturing the particular tileset.

As for fixing them, it could be just me kamal. Because of the size of the package I needed to remove some of the folders from tilesets I thought I wouldn't needed and I could always have done something stupid. The 2das are all there thought.

I have always found this a terrible tile set to work with. It promises a lot but the areas always end up much simpler than you thought they might be because the more interesting tiles options are incomplete. It might be I just need to spend more time with it but I have never had a good experience with it.

I've also never been able to get in to this tileset. The deep halls stuff from RWS has a lot of similar features without any of the buggy tiles and missing pieces. If you're sticking with it I'd recommend opening up any of the OC areas where they used it, because it isn't really capable of too much more than what they built.

For me, the largest problem is that many of the ways that look like you could transition between the upper and lower level tiles do not work due to walkmesh issues. The tileset is also very specific, stock it cant be tinted and texture changing is haphazard/non-existant. So stock it's of limited use. I improved the texturing/tinting, but cant fix the walkmesh bits.

I know what you mean. All these stairs leading to lower pool-like areas are non-walkable. I had to find it the hard way, while I was planning to put stuff down there.

By the way, while on tileset subject, what is the red-black dice on some? Is this also a missing tintmap or something?

Yes, looks like a missing tint map.

As for the stairs and pools you mention, they could be made walkable with walkmesh helpers.

Yeah, the "ramp" walkmesh helper is a godsend.  Most folks don't have that in their placeables.2da, though.

I thought a basic ramp in two flavours came stock, along with two flavours of the flat one?

Apparently not.  It has two that it specifies as being "flat", needlessly so since there's no other shape in there.

Really! I know a 2da you can use :)

Tchos:  Yup, I use PJs and it's awesome.  Now if only I get get my PW guys to sign off on PJ's epically large Cornucopia, heh.
