ME3 is basically the only multiplayer game that I have played, and so far 55% of the people I've played with has avoided me and gave me a bad review.

7% Trash talk

2 % Language

0% Disruptive

4% Aggressive

64% Unsporting

2% Quit Early

Out of 79% (where the heck did the other 21% go?) 64% sent a review saying I was unsporting. That happens on Xbox when you run around killing everything and top the scoreboard with 2-3 times the other 3 players score. Go figure.

Finally, I don't feel alone anymore B)

You wait till the host readies up, even though you are ready?  (troll)

You wait for everyone else to ready before you do?  (troll)  I bet you even reset the countdown timers a few times just for extra tollsauce.

In order not to kill steal you don't shoot things other people are shooting?  Like bosses?  (troll - and a freeloader)

When you play Volus you follow people around and spam shield boost, trying to kite enemies onto them and lock out their powers until the heavy melee?  (troll)

The Krogan headbutt is for Krogan, and for the rest of us it is to take that ugly missile launcher off.  If you miss the point of either, you are a troll.  (troll)

If you leave objectives to revive people, you are a detriment to the team (troll)

Score padding is trolling - especially during objective waves.  (troll)

If people hate you so much they try to crash your objective waves by intentionally DCing with the pizza, you must have made them pretty mad.  If they then gave you a bad evaluation so that others avoid you -then you made them REALLY mad.

Overall, I would say you are doing a very good job at trolling if you make people respond like that..  Its obvious you like to spend your time making the game miserable for everyone around you - which is exactly what trolls do.

You see, Trolls were created long ago when the world still had magic in it, as well as Elves and even Dwarfs.  Trolls were the antithesis of the beauty of the Elves and the graciousness of the Dwarven kings.  Driven into exile under threat of extinction, the remaining Trolls sought revenge - hiding under bridges and happening upon weary and often alone travelers.  Trolls, being the embodiment of hideousness and greed often killed these travelers for mere baubles or trinkets.  It is said that Trolls still remain upon the living humans - the descendants of the Dwarfs and Elves.  I the new digital age of the world, Trolls freely attack, using the anonymity of the internet instead of hiding under bridges.

Yeah most reviews on 360 are spite reviews. Few people actually care enough to upvaote good players.

For every bad rocket glitching player I downvote his two pals will return the favor.

I never do anything that you mentioned. I steal kills just to ****** people off .... especially if they are playing vorchas or the warlord. Even better, when I see a biotic team, I purposely use distruptor rounds or switch to a paladin to overwrite everyones primer.

In all seriousness, It's a game - people are being mean because they can. But there are still really good players out there who are courteous and mature not to mention good at the game as well. If you do have the luck to meet them, then be sure to send a friend request their way.

People still think Xbox rep matters? I just checked mine and it's at 76% avoided, it used to be in the 80's before I started playing this game. I assume the positive reviews are from pugs that want free credits.

After all the negative reviews, my rep still says 5 stars and it's never been anything lower. What a joke that system is.

I won't care about it anymore, since it won't affect my gaming experience :P

Rep means nothing. I rarely played multiplayer until I got ME3. After a year of ME3 I had 93% positive. Then I got Battlefield: Bad Company. Within 3 months my rep was 50/50. If you beat someone you will get revenge feedback. I've occasionally left negative feedback for trash talkers (extreme racism, etc) or cheaters (lag switches and turbo controllers on the VSS were a problem in Bad Company) and ended up in several more games with them. I haven't really figured out how it works on the Xbox One yet but on the 360 it has zero impact on your gaming. Ignore it.

Volus shield boost requires careful timing, if you do insist on using it to support your team then try to time it just AFTER someone reloads, BEFORE/AFTER (not during) a heavy hit (Atlas rocket, Banshee Warp etc). Be aware of the invulnerability frames and try to time them accordingly, listen to the team cues from the characters (Shields down, reload sound), and monitor every enemy you can so you know where in their attack sequence they are. If in doubt, it's better to not use shield boost than risk locking up their weapons. They shouldn't be relying on you for shields.

It's better to wait as 'Ready' and reset the timer if necessary, than to 'flick' and hope everyone was watching the screen when you did. Only reset the timer if you can see they need more time (changing weapons/character/equipment), or everyone has readied up quickly. Use appropriate judgement, don't keep resetting the timer again and again. Generally, I will reset it at 10 seconds, then 5 seconds (the countdown noise can prompt some kind of visible response), and then I will let it run down. Unless it's the host, in which case I'll usually reset it twice at 10. I don't like starting with an unready host, they usually quit, wasting my time and equipment.

Heavy melee as communication can either be nice, or irritating. I don't have a mic either, so I understand that sometimes the need to communicate will  result in using anything at your disposal. Rather than heavy, try the light melee. It's less intrusive, quicker, and if you do it close to someone, they will hear it just as easily as the heavy. At range, a single shot from whatever weapon you are using will often get someone's attention. Obviously this all assumes they aren't focused on something else, but again, use appropriate judgement.

Oh and sniping with an AIU? o_O whatever tickles your pickle....

Volus shield boost requires careful timing, ... try to time it just EXACTLY WHEN someone reloads,...

Fixed.

There is a certain point at which it gets counterproductive to be trying to kill the same thing when you could both be killing different things at the same time, instead of overkilling one thing.

Hi everyone,

This is my first post here.

I've been playing ME3 multiplayer for a while now (xbox 360).

Things that I'm used to :

- I always wait for the host to be ready before clicking green (matter of respect)

- I most of the time wait for everyone to be ready before clicking green (sometimes I'm more eager to start...)

- I try to NEVER steal other's killings (except if my team mates are in a bad position, or sometimes it can happen involuntarily)

- When I play Volus, I mostly spend my time reloading my team mates ' shields

- At the beginning of a mission, I very often say 'hello' to my partners with a heavy melee (I don't have a microphone)

- When someone's dead, I try to run and revive him / her (don't care about the 'first aid medal' though)

- In hacking and drone missions, I'm helping 95 % of the time (the other 5 %, I'm levelling up my killing ratio, mea culpa)

- Plus other things I find "normal" that keep the game enjoyable for everyone

Yesterday, after some connectivity bug, I became the host and found myself with only one other player. My character was an alliance infiltrator (quite weak in terms of armor) equipped with a phalanx and a black widow. Then, when the wave started, it appeared it was a "package mission". The problem was that I was at the other side of the map, surrounded by enemies. I couldn't run through them, so I started to kill... My partner was next to the package, but he suddenly disconnected and gave me a bad evaluation on my profile - I'm sure it was him (no mention to explain his opinion).

So my questions are :

- have you already experienced the same ?

- what will be the consequences on my gaming ? Will I be more often avoided by other players ? (my ratio is now 1 + / 2 - ; all on ME, the second negative is due to some invitation from a fresh new friend I didn't answer immediately because I was in the middle of a game and didn't want to lose my stats --> he labelled me as "deloyal"; and the only positive one was because I congratulated someone who had outstripped me in the ranking)

PS : I never give any misjudgment on profiles (neither to the noobs who continually keep stealing my killings), and I sometimes give positive evaluations.

Sorry if my English doesn't fit the standards, French speaking :)

Thanks for your replies ;)
