Did we ever find out about the content of the scrapped DLC "The Exalted March"?

I know they scrapped it because everyone was already working on future projects, but did it ever get off the planning stage?  Do we know how Hawke's story ended, besides that he/she disappeared?  Do we have any clue to its planned content besides the title?

Any clue as to whether part of it will be recycled into Inquistion, now that we know Hawke is there?

I'm about to start my last playthrough of DA2 before Inquisition begins, and I was curious if anyone knew anything about the end of Hawke's story besides that it was cancelled...?

It would be interesting at some point if one of the Dragon Age team might be in a position to shed a little more light on the stillborn expansion. Its not going to bring it back unfortunately. But never the less the appeal of knowing what might have being is still intriguing.

Elements of the expansion have being worked into the new game. As the Mage/Templar storyline was a bit to big to ignore.

True.  Maybe they could turn it into a novel?  I'd read it :)

I half wonder if it had to do with the annulment of the circle at Rivain.  It's dropped in as a minor detail in World of Thedas and Asunder, but the fact that another circle went through what Kirkwall did is pretty significant.  I could imagine Templar-Hawke helping with the annulment, or mage-Hawke fighting it, and discovering something at the end so pressing he/she has to disappear.

DA2 in itself might have being better off as a book.

taking in count how everyone ignored Hawke's saying... yes it would be better as a book. I felt i have more decition power in old school "yes no" rpgs (those where you are bumped with that dialog that actually does nothing...)

I'm still not over the fact that they did scrap it. When the news came that they were pushing Inquisition to 2014, they could of at least given us the Exalted Marches dlc. Oh well, as long as there's some closure to Hawke's story in DAI...

That would have meant pulling development resources off Inquisition and thus, pushing it back further. Honestly, DA2 got such a bad reception that I think they really just wanted to put it behind them and start afresh with DAI.

I doubt I can find the exact quote, so don't take this as gospel, but I'm pretty sure I remember hearing someone saying elements (presumably plot ones) from Exalted March were indeed being incorporated into Inquisition.

But don't forget it might not ever have had a precise plot. It might never have been more than a vague concept, depending on how early in its production it was scrapped. Devs are probably tight-lipped about such abandoned projects because they want to be able to salvage plot elements that they liked for future games as and when it suits them. If it's good, they probably use it at some point.

Supposedly, major pieces of the expansion's plot have gone into DAI. It may be that, with all the implications that Kirkwall was the place the Magisters physically entered the Fade, that the Breach was originally going to occur there. If they ever talk about what was planned for Exalted March, it'll probably be after Inquisition has been out for a while, to avoid any spoilers of things that were incorporates into DAI.

As far as I remember the expansion called Exalted March would feature Sebestian ( from this dlc
http://dragonage.wik...e_Exiled_Prince  ). I bought the dlc and took him as a companion. I then had an encounter with him at the end of DA2. And he was very, very clear about that he would be coming back again. In my game, he left - in strong disgust over my choice  at the end of DA2.

As I remember it, Sebastian would have? started an Exalted March towards?   Unfortunately, we never get to know. But the devs. were pretty open about it. And said that most of the content probably would be included in DA: Inquisition. If they could find a way to do it properly. Also, they had been given a chance to work on DA: Inquisition....and they had taken it...
