FYI, Gaider mentioned his best romance scene he saw take place was in The Darkness, the player could sit on the couch and watch a movie with the girlfriend, she sat her head in his lap. I played it, I knew what was going to happen, I didn't want to stand back up. :(

Case is, it will have romance being more real. It was worded as it being wished to do more real instead of gift, gift, gift, bed and that's it. The content should be more meaningful of what I read.

You know what I think would have been a perfect scene in dragon age, something that could be repeated with Alistair and be sweet?  I think sitting by the fire, head on his shoulder, his arm around you.  It would have been such a nice scene.

That sounds so absolutely perfect. For an love interest. It doesn't have to be kissing or sexual to be intimate. And I love the close moments.

Yeah it's those close intimate moments when it's not even sexual at all, but just about the intimacy of being close to the other person that really sells it.  That just by being with each other, no words necessary, is all you both need to be content.  It's so romantic.

I'll bet you loved the Alistair rose scene as much as I did then, eh?

I loved a lot of scenes with Alistair, I hated that he had to be come king, and that to be a good one and to be able to marry him I had to harden him up to do it.  But yes, the rose scene was adorable. <3 <3 <3

That does sound awesome, but I wouldn't want it to be Alistair.  As I only romanced him to cover the achievement actually. :D  Sorry :(

Would have to be Leliana then I think.  Morrigan would want no part of that, and while Zevren would not only do it if you wanted and be able to tell if you wanted it without you expressing such, it doesn't feel like the right scene for him as he's more doing it because it'll make you happy I think.  Is just the feeling I get.  Only with Lel and Alistair do I think it'd really have the proper intimacy of the moment.

Though thinking on it I'm not sure Lel could keep from turning it into an opportunity to tell us a tale about some sad romantic ghost story or something.

I find Leliana adorable, and find her as the romance option of choice. Romanced Morrigan only once and that character ended up being with Anora instead. I cant play another male thru Origins except that one time as of yet.

They need to include the best of both games in origins you could talk to your companions at any time and in da2 you could only talk to them at specific moments and if you didn't then poof it was gone. But da2 did have more emotional interactions in the cutscenes they had. But I think origins did it much better.

See people say that, and it's true in the everyone felt more involved with each other and that it was implied things happened between the party members between scenes, but I'm not sure I agree with this about their interactions with the pc themselves.  In Origins there was so much personal dialogue that 2 was lacking, I mean origins had some serious opening up and character changing moments, there was some serious moments of vulnerability for which 2 never seemed to quite make it to.

DA:I will have more than Origins I believe... cause it wont be based on gifts but how they get ... treated? I want to say. Not entirely sure but that is how I read the message that came across from Gaider.

That was the only reason I romanced him to get the trophy and I also got the trophy for him killing the Archdemon.  It was cool he died for me.

I actually don't favor romance achievements. If want to try and get all the achievements that is. I did the same with Anders and Fenris, otherwise I wouldn't of bothered with them....though what happens if you was romancing everyone at the exact same time?  hmmmm.... I did achieve a foursome in DO:A, once. :)   I would of loved to seen Avelines face on that one,  ;)

I felt like in DA2 I never had much of a relationship with Merrill. She lived with me, but I never really saw her, and outside our one sex scene and "I love you in case I die" dialogue scene in the ending... It just felt very empty.

Whereas in DA:O, I grabbed my LI whenever I damn well pleased and kissed them no matter who was watching!

I like the idea of this. If they only let you do it with straight-only LIs (as in Origins) I'll be quite cross about it, but I don't think they would do that again.

Huh? He doesn't have to become king. (Maker preserve our Queen Anora.)

I kissed Leli as a girl PC and Zevran as a guy PC all the time, so I don't know what you mean by Straight-Only LIs?

You could only kiss Zevran in camp, while you could kiss Alistair and Morrigan anywhere and they had a different scene and dialogue.

Yep, Leliana and Zevran was restricted to camp, which I think is being changed this time around from what I understood. I could be wrong.

Relationships that feel like relationships... hmmm....

Sera: You kind of smell like shite. You can sleep alone if you are not taking a bath.

Cassandra: Look at how you are eating. tch... there is gravy on your chest plate... I know we are fighting demons, but it doesn't mean that you will forget all the manners.

Scribbles: Look at that, just look at that. You brought in so much muck. You could have just removed the shoes before entering the castle. Take the bloody broom and start cleaning. I am not your house maid you know.

Lelianna: I asked you to rescuse those soldiers 2 days ago. What are you still doing here. Honestly, am I only one who does the work around here.

There ya go mate. Real relationships for ya.

Oh come on, not all women nag like that.

That's not realistic at all!

In order for a relationship to really feel like a relationship, we're going to need an event where you and your love interest go grocery shopping while you're both hangry and get into a ridiculous hunger-fueled bicker about what to have for dinner that morphs into internally cataloging all of your petty resentments of each other while you stand in the checkout line. Then you go home and eat, realize just how far gone you both were and apologize sheepishly afterward.

Was made worse IMO that the relationship with Leliana was pretty much completely ignored by everyone if the Warden was female, Zevran had it little better either with his relationship with a M!Warden only getting referenced by dumb gay jokes during party banter

She keeps doing it into Act 3 because (For all intents and purposes) Hawke had agreed to an Open Relationship. Isabela said she had no interest in love or really attachment. That was their relationship up until the point where she admitted to loving Hawke.

The morality of our world still very much applies. It just wasn't the relationship you think it was.

What in the maker's name is an open relationship? Friends with benefits? That is not exactly a "relationship".

Or did they wanted to show a free woman, who doesn't want to get tied down. Her running away from Hawke would have served that purpose. She didn't need to sleep with half of Kirkwall to prove it. Or at least have the courtesy to not do it front of hawke.

The only normal companion was Bethany. She didn't whine or cry or had hidden agenda or was completely crazy. She loves her family, is religious but not a fanatic. Her view towards magic is pretty neutral. She understands how much difficult it was for her family to protect her.

And then she either dies, becomes a warned or gets sent to circle.

The worst part is hawke doesn't even go to meet her once in the circle. What an ass!

A woman not nagging, is not realistic at all. Well to be honest if women stop nagging half of the men would just die of laziness in their beds.

Somehow I think that all women have various degrees of OCD. The world must work according to some master plan they have worked out. If it doesn't, they don't stop until they can set things right.
