It's actually fantastic. You get Xen on the Dreadnought <3. (well, she isn't actually in the squad but still excellent)

Too bad you can't bring her along on the end mission too. She probably wouldn't help you argue for peace, though.

Works for me.

Whenever I get to the beam, arguing for peace is usually the last thing on my mind too..... :)

Oops, I meant the end on Rannoch.

Might have worked, you never know. Xen on the final Rannock mission, and then it comes down to a paragon choice of putting three rounds into Xen, or the renegade choice of ending Legion. Obviously retain the slim chance of a peaceful solution (somehow, with Xen there) based on previous choices/rep etc.

Maybe you could lie to her, and tell she can run all the experiments she wants, to get her to add her voice to the ceasefire plea.

I'm thinking more along the lines of Tali slugging her out at the pivotal moment!

But yeah, lying to her might have worked as well, kind of similar to lying to the Krogans about the genophage perhaps, with potential complications further down the line if the lie comes out.

With the chance of them wrestling each other over the edge of the cliff? Heh.

If Xen is gonna be a squadmate, then Tali is kinda unavailable... unless Xen takes Raan's place, and just arrives on the scene a little earlier. Or you could have Xen and Raan fight.

Ok, this is sounding like a plan. So we now have Tali, Xen and Raan wrestling. Can we add a conveniently-located mud-pit as well?

Garrus: Uhh, should they be doing that, shepard? In the middle of a war?

Vega *pokes Garrus in the ribs*: Will you shut up

Javik: In my cycle, even primitive turians had sticks up their asses.

Vega: You're getting the hang of this 'joke' thing.

Javik: I was telling the truth.

Legion *glances over*: Upload paused at 80% *keeps watching*

Joker (over the intercom) : Take pictures!

Who was it who wrote the Rannoch arc, was it Dombrow/Weekes? Man, I love those guys, but why didn't they do THIS?

Me too. The Rannoch arc needed more Xen, even with Tali in the picture.

One of the lines between Xen and edi during the dreadnought mission always gave me a smile

Xen: Quite. The Geth sent reinforcements to the bridge, but they were quite amenable to one of my hacking routines. They're doing a lovely dance right now. In a moment, they're going to serve refreshments

edi: Admiral Xen's attitude towards synthetic lifeforms is a concern

Shepard: Noted

For folks with 30,000 posts, it’s obvious they still enjoy the game after all these years and have played (or read up) on just about everything there is in the game.  In contrast, the MEU is my “current interest” that will probably end the middle of this month.

In retrospect, I would not have enjoyed the MEU if I kept playing Dishonored for the 500th time (some over there still do).   For sport I do underwater videography.  Returning to the SAME SPOT may reveal all kinds of new things depending on time-of-day, current, clarity, etc.   “Blue Corner” in Palau is fantastic – but there are other “fantastic” places too.  And since “fantastic” depends on the individual, I will move on to another “fantastic” game shortly.  If I recall, my current stats are:

ME1 -- 9x

ME2 – 12x

ME3 – 6x

How many playthroughs does it take before you've seen it all?

One.

Or at least that's based on my reaction to accidentally picking the Synthesis ending at the end of ME3, which went along the lines of "F*ck me, now I've seen it all....."

I say said to myself, actually I shouted it in the general direction of the TV. There were probably also a lot more expletives as well.....Ok, and I may, repeat may, have thrown things.....

Well dang Callisto!

And I thought I was the only one that got emotional & exercised Jack's vocabulary.

I'm still trying to figure out why people still play this game that they hate so much....

Recently I bought a teach-12 audio book about the history and makeup of “The Religions of the World” showing similarities & contrasts.   MEU meets about 95% of the requirements that classify it as an official religion.   Some are

  • Splinter sects.
  • Splitting hairs of what’s been said & documented.
  • Factions of “interpretation”.
  • Inventing new “strands” into the religion like the IT theory from BWT (-I got that from Julia).
  • Longevity after the event.
  • Warring Doctors of Divinity that can not only quote every word in the series, but tell you the digital 3-digit color code of turquoise of a certain asari -- plus how many "plumes" come from the Tuchanka sun and what "hidden meaning" each has.
  • Dedicated followers that love-bi1ch --- and self-appointed knights in shining armor that “defend” for forgiveness of sin.
  • A central leadership (I can’t remember that software company) that gets our money and doesn’t give a hoot what we think.

Don’t think so?   Just IMAGINE if the forum became unavailable for a month.

I will be doing Skyrim next mid October.   Yes, that’s BLASPHEMY!   Please don’t burn me at the stake.

Can't speak for others, but I certainly don't hate the game. On the contrary, I adore it for the most part. That just makes the few parts that I loathe that much harder to take.

Largest disappointment is BW itself - firstly that they thought it was ok to release a game in the state that the original was, and secondly that people who had problems with the ending, well hey, that's our problem for not appreciating their superior view of art.
