Oh yeah, big ass 200 hour game that's been in development for 4 years? They've made it an objective to show you literally everything. EVERYTHING! It's all part of their plan. They're tricking you! You see, by showing you the whole game before you buy it, they
Bioware, are you even saving any surprises for the release?

- We don't know what role Morrigan plays.
- We don't know what role the conflict between mages/templars plays.
- We don't know what the Red Templars "really" are or why red lyrium works like it does.
- We don't know why we're going to meet Hawke.
- We don't know if we're going to meet the Hero of Ferelden.
- We don't know what the Venatori's agenda is.
- We don't know who, how or why the Breach occurred.
- We don't know what our role in Orlais will be.
- We know next to nothing about our companions (except Cole - kill it with fire)
- We don't know who the big dragon that was going to eat us was, or who the other dragon that saved us was.
- We don't know why we are called the Herald of Andraste.
- We don't know who the shiny spirit was in the Fade.
- We don't know what "Blinky" is or why it's so.... blinky.
- We don't know what new demons will show up.
- We don't know how we got the green glowy super hero hand.
- We don't know exactly what's happening in Red Cliff.
- We don't know what the City elves are planning.
- We don't know if another Dalish clan will self-implode (I predict... duh)
- We don't know the vast number of things we don't know (I know, that's some wise crap right there - send all checks to....)
I really don't think we need to worry.

Or are you going to give them all away in pre-release marketing/trailers?
Lets see, we already know:
- How the game begins with an explosion at the meeting between the mages/templars.
- We know that the PC is the lone survivor who came from the fade with unique powers.
- We know that these powers have been given to him by the Maker
- We know about the mysterious person known as the Elder One (as well as his appearance) who is after the PC.
- We know that Hawke will be making an cameo.
- We know about Morrigan becoming a Dragon and possibly being an ally, as well as a possible fight between her and Flemeth.
- We know that whomever you take with you in the Redcliffe castle fight can die, as seen with Sera in the E3 video.
- We have possibly seen Andraste which reveals that she will be making an appearance at some point.
At this pace, Bioware would have given away most of the big reveals/surprises well before November 18th and we STILL have the possible PAX Prime trailer as well as the final launch trailer which I assume would be filled with a bunch of juicy spoilers.
I understand that Bioware wants to show off how cool this game is but geez, do they have a limit?
I am so glad that I did not watch this Gamescom trailer/gameplay because from what I hear, it is spoilers galore. While I might know the details of the trailer, it is best that I not view it. Same thing with any other screenshot/video released about this game.
But yeah, what else is there to be surprised about?
Just like with DA:O were after the trailers we knew Leliana was an insane psychopath, Morrigan (or was it Wynne?) was killed by blood magic and the Warden had some special unique power that made his eyes glow. Yeah, the trailers tell us everything. ![]()
OK, so sure, DA:O did spoil 2 big things for people who didn't want to anything: King Cailan's death and Loghain's executions! And DA2 cinimatic trailer spoiled that the Qunari would attack Kirkwall and kill the Viscount. But I haven't seen any spoilers like that in these trailers. Sure, it looks like Sera, Iron Bull and Leliana can die at Redcliffe but we don't know they do. And if they do, then it must have something to do with your choice as the player, like Sacred Ashes with Leliana and Wynne.
Leliana feels to important to kill anyway (and they said you chose to send her so that means it could different with someone else) and having 2 random companions killed on a mission wouldn't work unless it's at the absolute end of the game and I think the said Redcliffe was half way through the game. It would have to be a specific character unless they have made the whole game still work whoever dies, and I don't think so.

alot of what you said it wrong and speculation and ill break it down on why.
- How the game begins with an explosion at the meeting between the mages/templars. - you got this right. but thats about it
- We know that the PC is the lone survivor who came from the fade with unique powers. - not confirmed if your the lone survivor
- We know that these powers have been given to him by the Maker - not confirmed. speculation or guess.
- We know about the mysterious person known as the Elder One (as well as his appearance) who is after the PC. - this is apperently the name of the person the venatori worship/follow. thats all thats confirmed.
- We know that Hawke will be making an cameo. - yes
- We know about Morrigan becoming a Dragon and possibly being an ally, as well as a possible fight between her and Flemeth. - i saw morrigan go from a crow/bird into a person. and i saw dragons. i didnt see them turn into dragons or vice versa. i didnt see flemeth either. did you?
- We know that whomever you take with you in the Redcliffe castle fight can die, as seen with Sera in the E3 video. - you saw a non responsive sera. doesnt mean dead. could be unconscious. also since they were talking about time travel in that trailer and Dorian was content on finishing the ritual with the pendant, i would assume this means you go back and stop it from happening. this of course is my specualation. the same to your speculation that sera died. (or whoever you take)
- We have possibly seen Andraste which reveals that she will be making an appearance at some point. - i doubt the golden person is andraste. i think its the divine. compare the golden persons head/hat shape to the same picture of dinvine justinia. same shape. also my own speculation. (see left image)

I personally think they've spoiled way, way, WAY too much (just the fact that there's a malevolent force is instantly too much, that should have been something we discovered through the game), but I #DealWithIt by only watching gameplay trailers and not these cinematic ones.
Granted, coming to this place has already spoiled me about the Gamescom trailer unfortunately, but I'm not looking for it on my own.

Uhh no.

No we do not.

This is just speculation and not confirmed.
- We have possibly seen Andraste which reveals that she will be making an appearance at some point.
Not really.
Soo yeah. We 'know' basically nothing, stop making sweeping assumptions that fan speculation is fact.

I know the story.
Inquisitor gets to the end of the story, there in front of them is the big bad boss. It's a sideways rabbit, inquisitor steps on sideways rabbit, and saves the world....or chooses to help the sideways rabbit destroy the world.
edit mouse to rabbit since that was said. ![]()

What else is new? BW has been at it (spoilerum magnum) since ME2 if memory serves right. They always say you seen nothing yet! and to no ones surprise it turns out to be the exact thing everyone was thinking.

It is very likely with all the speculation that goes on on pretty much every pre-release forum that someone is going to end up being right and thus nobody who reads most of the speculation posts can remotely be surprised. What else is new? All very true.
However, is the little we do know still too much?
We know that 9 companions have been announced.
We know that there will be ambassadors.
We know that there is a big bad something that requires the Inquisitor to unite the factions of Thedas against.
We know that the story takes place in both Ferelden and Orlais.
We know that Hawke is at the very least shown for a few seconds, perhaps even more.
We know that there will be multiple conflicts that need resolving.
We know that the Inquisitor came from some sort of explosion and has a bright green glowing magic.
We know that Fade daemons will play an important role in the plot.
That's quite a bit...

That's your definition of quite a bit? That's nothing. That's practically what you get in the synopsis on the back of a book.

I just thought he was referencing How I met your mother.
