Bioware, are you even saving any surprises for the release?

Wait, you mean they didn't** tell you guys about how the reason the Warden isn't showing up is because they're pregnant regardless of gender and have decided to join the Qun and be a pacifist? Damn.

Fan tears make for the finest marinades. My preferred marinade for steaks.

People seem to be pretty flippant with the "spoiler" label lately. If it's in a trailer then how can it possibly be significant enough to be considered a true spoiler?
If you feel like the information you have been receiving from DAI's marketing has been too significant, then govern yourself better and avoid the forums until the game comes out.

Majestic Jazz created a thread months ago declaring that he was leaving the forums because of the spoilers and would avoid marketing as best as possible.
Like everyone who makes that claim...

Ugh, really? All the bitching and complaining...if you're getting your knickers in a knot over the marketing, over the development, over everything, simply don't buy and play the game. Get off the forums too, if they pain you so much. No one will care. There will be plenty of people who will buy and enjoy playing the game, and who won't feel the need to be constantly passive-aggressive about Bioware and their games.

The game is big. If you're already on the road to buy it, you could do like I do and media blackout yourself. I don't follow Pillars of Eternity closely anymore, because I want it all to be fresh for me.
*sigh* I want it all to be fresh to me. But at the same time, I hunger for news NOW! So abstaining from this board is hard.
You know, the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Please, for my own sanity, don't spoil too much, no matter how much we, the fans, demand it of you.

It really depends how spoiler sensitive one is.
A lot of people literally avoid all of the above.
Then why are they here? I don't mind these kinds of spoilers but as I can't get it day one I will be leaving this forum (and probably the internet) when the game comes out until I get it so the entire plot is not spoiled for me.
So I don't see why people who want zero info before playing the game are still here, what do they expect us to talk about?

I'm pretty sure a blood mage uttered this phrase in DA2 at some point.

Ugh, I get so fat, eating these B-Cup cakes that are right by the gym. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.
Please, B-Cup Cakes, close your store for my sake.

Or are you going to give them all away in pre-release marketing/trailers?
Lets see, we already know:
- We know that these powers have been given to him by the Maker
- We know about Morrigan becoming a Dragon and possibly being an ally, as well as a possible fight between her and Flemeth.
- We know that whomever you take with you in the Redcliffe castle fight can die, as seen with Sera in the E3 video

Btw, I think your avatar says everything about you!

Well, it has to do with what Bioware did with trailers before, like with for DA:O and DA2, I guess. In DA:O they showed the Warden executing Loghain at the landsmeet and King Cailan getting killed (yes, it was in the beginning an most probably already knew, but some who didn't, like me, really didn't like it) and in the DA2 CGI-trailer they showed that the Qunari conflict would come to blows were they would kill the Viscount and in the end Hawke would kill the Arishok in a duel.

But yeah, what else is there to be surprised about?
So...you know some elements of the story, have taken a number of fan assumptions as straight-up truth, and that's the same as having played through the entire game already? All that's left is to tell you how it ends?
Gosh.
I posted about the nature of spoilers recently. It's really up to you to govern yourself regarding them... but, even so, if you really think you already know all there is to know, we're not about to prove otherwise. You go on thinking that, if you like. ![]()

Just want to point out that I don't think the trailers have spoiled DA:I for me. What I wrote in my last post was just to explain why some might feel they do from past experience.

1. What the he'll is Blinky?
2. Will Iron Bull face crisis concerning his loyalty?
3. How'd all this red lyrium pop up out of nowhere.
4. What's the Elder Ones purpose?
Yeah we still have a lot of surprised to learn about.

Mr. Gaider, when your here, is it true that Leliana's armor seen in the gameplay videos are a placeholder?

So then, since there are no surprises left tell me
1. What the he'll is Blinky?
2. Will Iron Bull face crisis concerning his loyalty?
3. How'd all this red lyrium pop up out of nowhere.
4. What's the Elder Ones purpose?
Yeah we still have a lot of surprised to learn about.
1. A sword? (at least it was in DA2, or was that Binky?)
2. Being Bi-sexual, maybe?
3. Varric's brother sold the information. That I know. Also, Red Lyrium existed before but was really rare.
4. To become the true god?

If the OP is concerned about potential spoilers, Its common sense to not come on the forums or go on sites that has anything DAI related like trailers/gameplay vids and topics/pictures.
Simply avoid the forums until the game comes out.(Yes doing that means not coming back for three months. When you finally get DAI you won't have fore knowledge of whats to come or expect). Only when you have completed the game then come back to the forums.

All of the bolded is speculation. The devs has explicitly stated that the trailers are misleading, and that a lot of the speculation made by the fandom is outright wrong.
phew, I was getting rather worried. But this is also bad, as the trailers could be a bit to misleading, leading to lots of rage on release.

We still don't know LOTS of things.
What colour are the Inquisitor's underoos?
Are they even WEARING underoos?
What's the weather like on Tuesdays?
Did that guy in Orzammer get enough nugs?
What is Vivenne's favourite food?
Do dragons hiccup?
How does Varric take his eggs, over easy, scrambled?
This is IMPORTANT stuff, people! We hardly know anything....
