As we know things go BOOM at the Temple of Sacred Ashes around the same time as DA:I's prologue. If anyone recalls we form an alliance with Andraste's Holiest. We get to witness the Prophetess Herself. She who has overcome death itself and has returned to Her faithful in form more radiant than any of us could ever imagine. Not even the Tevinter Imperium could hope to slay Her now!! If we assist the Beloved's Most Faithful in reclaiming the Ashes' Power by consecrating them with the Blood of the Maker's Chosen we are granted the title of Knight Champion of the Prophetess and are allowed to partake in the Ritual that grants us Her Blessing as befits our earned status.

So all that said... Do you think Father Kolgrim will appear in DA:I? Do you think he should? Why or why not? And feel free to rant about anything that involves the Dragon Age version of King Leonidas.

Seeing as the Chantry is holding a Peace Summit there, I'm gonna assume him and the others are dead if they lived in DAO

I'm wondering what happened to the Guardian if you spared him?

He should appear again for those who sided with him. That said, I'm very interested in why the disciples turned to dragon worship or why the temple of the Sacred Ashes attracted a dragon. Now that we know that the place will explode and be at the Breach's center combined with the fact that the antagonist may have something to do with dragons... I think Kolgrim - or his post mortem diary - could add a few interesting things to the lore.

Genetivi said that the Cult of Andraste reverted back to rites and rituals that predate the Nevarran Accord. Maybe the real Andraste was a dragon-lady?

This is a fan thread I can get behind. I've sided with this guy when I play Dalish Eleves and Dwarves.

It's so creepy to see this thread since I literally am just at that part. I just killed him and the high dragon : |

Andraste?A reaver? Jeez, Maria is gonna have a field day when she hears this.

But seriously though, I think it's unlikely given the fact she was opposing a nation of dragon worshipers. My bet is that they were somehow manipulated into worshiping dragons by someone who was interested in preserving them. This is what has me curious.

We know Kolgrim's ancestor started broke of from the original Disciples, maybe he just developed a different opinion.

Meh.  I find Andraste being a dragon worshiper fighting a nation ruled by dragon worshipers no more incredulous than Andraste being a mage fighting a nation ruled by mages...

As for OP, If Kolgrim isn't in somewhere in Inquisition, there should be an explanation as to where he, his followers, and the risen Andraste are...  I'm of the opinion that, should you import a world state where Kolgrim and the risen Andraste live, there will be a "bonus boss" somewhere in Ferelden for the Inquisitor and company to deal with, if they so choose.

Where is your Andraste now? Call her. Call down her wrath upon me. You cannot? Because she is a simple beast, nothing more.

if he survived origins in your playthrough i see no reason why he shouldn't be in Dragonage Inquisition, i image there would be some quests/plot around him.

I slaughtered that cult all but one time. The one time was just to open up reaver mostly and to see how that session would end if destroyed the ashes.

After seeing human blood on that altar and watching the village merchant attempt to hide a carcass inside his store, there was no way I'd ever let this guy live. If the Warden hasn't killed Kolgrim already, someone else eventually would've. Besides, we have a new crazy cult to deal with now.

During the years following Andraste's death there were meant to be numerous cults associated with her.   It was what the original Inquisitors were trying to stamp out.    It does seem odd that the cult nearest her shrine should have such an odd belief about Andraste if it were not true but as the Guardian says, they started looking for something more tangible to worship.   Given the link between dragons and fire and that she was burnt to ash, I suppose it is not such a stretch for them to believe that she had returned as a dragon, since there do not appear to be any phoenixes in Thedas.

I wonder if this cult had any links originally to Callenhad.    He got his power from dragon blood and we know very little of his actual origins.     Since he threw in his lot with the Chantry and the Circle of Magi when it proved expedient may be he kept quiet about Haven because it would have been a little embarrassing given his new found alliances.

I'm interested to know when the Ferelden wife of the Orlesian who claims the land around Haven (and the Shrine) was gifted it by the king.    No one was meant to know it even existed except in legend and which king?
