lulz. Never been a big Peyton guy, myself. I do not see GOAT QB as many folks believe. IMO he's just Dan Fouts on a longer career. Also you look at the postseason games and you see pretty lackluster performances. Brady is the man, though. I'd love to see him get another ring before he hangs 'em up, though I am probably the only non-Patriot fan who feels that way.

Gonna quickly tally up my picks here... 7-4, with 2 more to go. Cool.

Everyone knows Dan Marino is the greatest anyways.

Just want to thank Katiefrost and the rest of you who are posting here.  I used to be a big football fan (NY Giants back in the day), but no longer have a great deal of interest.  However, I still like to keep a hand in just 'cause my son, daughter-in-law and grandkids are fans.  I love being able to come on this site and get the whole picture in one place without having to peruse hundreds of sites on television or the internet.  You're doing a great job and I truly appreciate and compliment you for it.  Thanks again and I hope your team wins!

..... and I think my Packers are pretenders :crying:

Don't be so hard on your Packers. :) At 5-3, they are sitting at 2nd in the NFC north, which is respectable. They won the superbowl in 2011 and it's normal to cycle between rebuilding and peak performance. You only have to look at the Seahawks to see that...

Pittsburgh Steelers beat Baltimore Ravens, 43 to 23
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is making quite a name for himself.

Only 6 of my picks were right so far this week. The Colts and Giants game is coming on shortly...

random question: does anyone think Johnny Manziel will get traded after this season?

No way, not with what the Browns invested in him (trade up to round-1). Hoyer has been solid but he's just about near his ceiling as an NFL QB. Not sure if Johnny will ever get there but you don't just let go of talent like that only halfway through one season.

9-4 last week. I'll take it, those were some tough calls.

[Thurs]
Cincy over Cleveland -- I think this will be a close one with the Bengals pulling away late.

[Sun]
Falcons over Bucs -- playing against Josh McCown should be a gimme, though for this Falcons team, I had to think about it.
Detroit over Miami -- 'fins are hot, but this defense should stop them.
Dallas over Jacksonville -- Jags could win if Weeden plays, but will have to stop Murray to do so either way. Not many teams can.
Bills over Chiefs -- this one's a toss-up, though.
Stillers over Jets -- Sure hope Ben goes for the TD record, or tying it. Starting him in fantasy after sitting the last couple (bah).
Saints over 9ers -- Saints are hot, 'Frisco's not, at it's Brees at home.
Ravens over Titans -- Here comes the part where Joe looks like a top-10 QB again (and yet, still not worth that contract).
Denver over Oakland -- Dunno what to say. Poor Raiders.
Cards over Rams -- Rams are still fighting. Good for them, but I don't see Bruce Arians's Cardinals team playing down to them.
Packers over Bears -- every time we play the Bears, I am reminded of Charles Woodson's immortal words on Jay Cutler. "Jay will throw us the ball."

[Mon]
Eagles over Panthers -- Just don't have faith in CAR over any team that is not a pushover. I think Sanchise will play fine.

Here's an article about Johnny Manziel you might like. The Brown's general manager, Ray Farmer is saying he has no regrets.

I'm going to start including a team's win-loss stats with my choices. At this point in the season, that information has become more meaningful. My picks for week 10:

Cincinnati Bengals(5-2-1) over Cleveland Browns(5-3) Bengal A.J.Green is expected back for this Thursday game and it is a home game for the Bengals. Still, not an easy pick.

Detroit Lions(6-2) over Miami Dolphins(5-3) Both of these teams have been on a roll lately, but the Lions are just coming off a bye week and this a home game for them. Again, a hard pick.

Kansas City Chiefs(5-3) over Buffalo Bills(5-3) The Chiefs have won their last 3 games and the Bills have been faltering. I don't think the home game and coming off a bye week will help the Bills here. Kansas City shouldn't have a problem.

Dallas Cowboys(6-3) over Jacksonville Jaguars(1-8) Well, duh. I'm sure playing in London won't make much difference in this outcome. Tony Romo should sit this one out and let his back continue to heal. He'll be needed more later on.

New Orleans Saints(4-4) over San Francisco 49ers(4-4) The saints are home and on a small roll. Drew Brees is beginning to play like Drew Brees. The 49ers need to regain their footing.

Baltimore Ravens(5-4) over Tennessee Titans(2-6) This home game should let the Ravens work off some steam after losing to Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh Steelers(6-3) over New York Jets(1-8) And double duh. I don't think this is going to be an upset win at home for the Jets. 5 weeks after being beaten by Tampa Bay, the Steelers are now playing a much better game.

This will be continued shortly...

Week 10 continued:

Atlanta Falcons(2-6) over Tampa Bay Buccaneers(1-7) Two weak teams, it could go either way. It is Tampa Bay's home game, but the Falcons look stronger and they are just coming off a bye week.

Denver Broncos(6-2) over Oakland Raiders(0-8) This is almost cruel. I'm wondering if the Raiders are trying for 0-16 so they can get the best draft picks next year...

Arizona Cardinals(7-1) over St. Louis Rams(3-5) A home game in sunny Arizona, the Cardinals (the only NFL team still with only one loss) will probably have barbecued Ram.

Seattle Seahawks(5-3) over New York Giants(3-5) The Seahawks are expecting some returning defense muscle from their injury list and the Giants are going to be a long way from home. Rock steady, Seahawks.

Green Bay Packers(5-3) over Chicago bears(3-5) The Packers are at home and the Bears will probably not be playing the same kind of game New Orleans played with Green Bay during week 8. The Packers also just had a bye week.

Philadelphia Eagles(6-2) over Carolina Panthers(3-5-1) Mark Sanchez should do just fine for this Eagles home game.

Later, bye...

7-6 last week (although 8-5 if you count that I tried to change my Dallas-Arizona pick after it came out that Weeden was getting the start). Not great. Let's try again:

Cincy over Cleveland: I think it will be relatively low-scoring but not that close. The Browns are badly missing center Alex Mack.

Buffalo over KC: I'll take the home team coming off a bye; it's a very tough game to call, though.

Miami over Detroit: Toughest game of the week, but I had to disagree with at least one of HYR's picks, so I might as well go with this one. :)

NO over SF: The Saints are at home against a struggling 49er team; plus they had a semi-bye week, since they played the Thursday night game last week.

Pittsburgh over NYJ: No further elaboration needed.

Atlanta over Tampa Bay: See above.

Dallas over Jacksonville: Even if Weeden plays, Dallas should be slight to moderate favorites in this game.

Baltimore over Tennessee: Still can't get a read on this Baltimore team, but I think I know enough to say they're better than the Titans.

Denver over Oakland: It's just not getting any easier for the Raiders.

Arizona over St. Louis: Can we start talking about Coach of the Year for Bruce Arians?

Seattle over NYG: Seattle may not be the team it was last year, but at home, it's enough against a Giants team missing so many of its best offensive players.

Green Bay over Chicago: At the beginning of the season, I would have thought this would be a fairly tough game to call. Not so much right now.

Philly over Carolina: While I think the turnovers will always be a part of Sanchez' football makeup, he should be able to move the ball running the Philly offense, and against teams that can't score with any kind of consistency, that should be enough.

Cleveland Brown beat Cincinnati Bengals, 24-3

I'm going to watch the post-game report and try to figure out why so many people (including me) didn't see this coming. The scores weren't even close.

In his first year i thought Dalton might be the QB Cin was looking for but man has he regressed :o  The QB position is just about the only thing holding them back . Cin will be looking to replace him next year .

:D  Sunday 11/9, Here's some scores for you:

Seattle Seahawks beat New York Giants, 38 to 17 :wizard:

Four rushing TDs while running for 140 yds., a career best for Marshawn Lynch. What a game!

Dallas Cowboys beat Jacksonville Jaguars, 31 to 17

Tony Romo was playing, but I wonder about the pain he must be in. He is still healing 2 fractured transverse process in his back from week 8. Playing like this was brave but also foolhardy, IMHO.

Kansas City Chiefs beat Buffalo Bills, 17 to 13

Detroit Lions beat Miami Dolphins, 20 to 16

San Francisco 49ers beat New Orleans Saints, 27 to 24

Baltimore Ravens beat Tennessee Titans, 21 to 7

New York Jets beat Pittsburgh Steelers, 20 to 13

This is the week's big upset. :P

Atlanta Falcons beat Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 27 to 17

Denver Broncos beat Oakland Raiders, 41 to 17

Arizona Cardinals beat St. Louis Rams, 31 to 14

The Cardinals are an outstanding team with an outstanding coach. :)

More later, waiting on the Packers and Bears.
