Miami won with a comfortable point spread, although the game wasn't real exciting to watch. They are sitting 2nd in the AFC East behind New England.

I am looking forward to the Lions-Cardinals game on Sunday. Drew Stanton will be playing Carson Palmer's position and Cardinals fans are hoping he is up to the job. According to Coach Bruce Arians, the Cards are still headed for the Superbowl. We'll see.

This left torn ACL is Carson Palmer's 2nd and he is understandably depressed over being out for the season.

My own Seahawks are coming to a crossroads soon as they hit the road to the Midwest to play the Kansas City Chiefs. This will be a tough game and if they are going to turn things around, they'd better do it now.

Here's a story for Green Bay fans about linebacker Clay Matthews, who is a Call of Duty fan off the field.

Sledgehammer Games may have a new employee when he retires from football. Who knows...

Glad you asked. I have been worried about the Seahawks since weeks 6 and 7, when we lost first to the Cowboys and then embarrassingly, to the Rams. The fact that we went on to beat the Panthers and Raiders during weeks 8 and 9 was of little comfort, since these are both weak opponents, the Raiders notoriously so. That the Seahawks seemed to be having to labor too hard to win against less than competitive teams was also troubling. During week 10, players began to file back from the injury list and we beat the Giants with a healthy point spread. But again, this was a win against a notably weaker team.
The upcoming game with the Chiefs at Kansas City will be the first strong opponent we've played since the Cowboys during week 6 and it will not be a home game. Which is why I see this game as potential turning point. The Seahawks will have to start playing like champions again to keep winning.
Seattle may not have the same team they had a year ago, but they still have a good share of talented players. They can be outstanding if they pull it together.

I did the unthinkable and overslept this morning (touch of the flu), so I'll have to watch my Seahawks losing to the Chiefs in a recap. I'm going to take a moment to wake up and then I'll post some scores. Watching the Cardinals hammer on the Lions right now...

Their time will come. Seahawks won't either this year. Hang in there. :)

The Pittsburgh Steelers have played at the Superbowl a total of 8 times over the years. They won 6 of those games. They still hold the record for the team with the most Superbowl wins. Their last Superbowl win (XLIII) was Feb.1, 2009.

Sunday 11/6 Week 11 final game score of the day:

New England Patriots beat Indianapolis Colts, 42 to 20
Just read an article about how Tom Brady goes to bed around 8:30PM during the season. He must be doing something right.
http://www.nfl.com/n...et-to-longevity

Does anyone understand what's going with the Rams?  Or the Broncos for that matter...?  :P
http://www.nfl.com/n...ts-down-broncos
St. Louis/Denver and Tampa Bay/Washington are the week's surprise upsets so far IMHO.

I'll have to admit, as a Seahawks fan, I found Denver's loss to St. Louis oddly comforting. Indignity is easier to bear when shared...  :D

Sitting at week 11, I'm finding it hard to picture the next Superbowl without the Cardinals going to it. As the competition toughens I wonder how any team with more than 3 losses at this point can still entertain hopes of going to the Superbowl this year. Would appreciate comments from someone who understands the play off system better than I do... :)

Rams beat the Broncos. Very surprising

Carolina needs to bench Cam Newton for a game. Aside from a couple of passes, he looked bad yesterday

Surprised the Colts didn't do better against the Patriots

New Orleans are doing very poorly

I'm not too surprised that KC beat Seattle

It will be interesting to see what happens over the next 6 weeks

YEAHEHEHESSsss!!! :D Way to go, Cardinals!

Sitting at 9-4 heading into MNF. To be fair, most of my wrong picks were sort of shockers, like, STL/DEN, TB/WAS, ATL/CAR.

Won't complain about missing on DET, though.  =]

Something strange appears to be going on. It's at half time now and the score so far this Monday evening is Steelers 13, Titans 17... Will we have another upset for week 11?

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we see another upset. The season so far has been full of surprises

Almost an upset, but not. Pittsburgh Steelers beat Tennessee Titans, 27-24. You heard it right here on your BSN NFL Superbowl watch thread...   :alien:

I hope you all did better on your picks this week than I did. I only got 7-7.  :P

Here's the schedule for week 12:

(I accidently posted a link to the wrong schedule, it should correctly take you to week 12 now.)

Here are my picks for Week 12:

Kansas City Chiefs(7-3) over Oakland Raiders(0-10) I'm not planning to watch this game. Even with the occasional upsets we've seen this season, I'm sure this will be an obvious blow out. It will just be... sad.

Cleveland Browns(6-4) over Atlanta Falcons(4-6) I dithered a lot over this one. I may return and change this pick before game time.

Philadelphia Eagles(7-3) over Tennessee Titans(2-8) Many are still undecided about Eagles quarterback Mark Sanchez. He should be alright against the Titans.

New England Patriots(8-2) over Detroit Lions(7-3) The Patriots have been getting stronger, while other teams are getting somewhat frayed. But the Lions will not be pushovers and this will not be an easy win. The game could go either way.

Green Bay Packers(7-3) over Minnesota Vikings(4-6) Like New England, Green Bay has improved substantially over the season.
Indianapolis Colts(6-4) over Jacksonville Jaguars(1-9) An upset is unlikely, even with the Colts still nursing injuries from last week...

Cincinnati Bengals(6-3) over Houston Texans(5-5) This is another one I had a hard time with and may change before game time. The Texans will be playing at home, but I think the Bengals can do this. Look what they did in New Orleans last week...

Buffalo Bills(5-5) over New York Jets(2-8) I could certainly see the Jets winning this game more easily than beating the Steelers like they did during week 10; but the greater odds still favor the Bills and it will also be a Bills home game. I would be happy if the Jets won this, though...

Chicago Bears(4-6) over Tampa Bay Buccaneers(2-8) Both these teams played well last week and Tampa Bay's 2 wins this season have not been home games. I may be going with the Bears, but the Bucs have a good chance here.

Seattle Seahawks(6-4) over Arizona Cardinals(9-1) I'm going with my Seahawks. I'm hoping desperation will add an extra edge to their game. Their internal issues have really hurt them. If they lose this week, at least it's to the Cardinals, who are awesome.

San Diego Chargers(6-4) over St. Louis Rams(4-6) The Chargers will be at home and are still a more competitive team than the Rams. But of course, I'm not counting out the Rams, especially after last week.

Denver Broncos(7-3) over Miami Dolphins(6-4) Despite last week's derailment, the Broncos are still one of the strongest, most talented teams in the NFL.

San Francisco 49ers(6-4) over Washington Redskins(3-7) This is a 49ers home game and Washington still only has 3 wins for the season, even if they were Cowboy squashers during week 8.

Dallas Cowboys(7-3) over New York Giants(3-7) The Cowboys are coming off a bye week and we will get a good look at how Tony Romo is managing with his back. This will be a home game for the Giants, but they would have to do something pretty incredible to pull out of their downward spiral now.

Baltimore Ravens(6-4) over New Orleans Saints(4-6) I know the Saints are at home, but that didn't help them last week against the Bengals. The Ravens will be coming off a bye week.

Will return to edit before game time as needed.
*edited Thursday evening for grammar only, no changes in game picks*
