It would be nice, if my old Panthers.would get their shte together and make it.But i know that will never happen

There's always next year. Cam Newton and the other rookies will be more experienced next time around.

Okay, lets give this a try

Raiders over Chiefs - because logic is my enemy

Browns over Falcons - against the worst defence in the league im going Browns all the way

Titans over Eagles - i like what ive seen from Mettenberger so far and with the Eagles defence being even worse than the Titans i can see him doing a lot of damage, also im not very confident in Sanchez

Patriots over Lions - can you say blow out?

Packers over Vikings - R-E-L-A-X

Colts over Jaguars - the Jaguars are a disaster, bottom 5 in both offence and defence going up against the best offence in the league

Texans over Bengals - that was a 50/50 for me but i like how the Texans look with Mallet, also im going with them because Texas

Jets over Bills - see what i said about logic

Bears over Buccaneers - both are terrible but the Bears are just a little bit better both in offence and defence

Cardinals over Seahawks - the Cardinals are steamrolling trough the league, the Seahawks have no Harvin, no Tate, Lynch is a ghost ant the Legion of Boom is mediocre at best, even before the Seahawks were a one trick pony, now they are a one legged one trick pony

Chargers over Rams - again two bad teams, but unlike the Rams the Chargers have shown some flashes of decency so far

Dolphins over Broncos - i admit, i just hate Manning (both of them), and with that said the Dolphins are a great underdog story and who doesnt love that?

Redskins over 49ers - the 49ers are surprisingly bad on offence but they still have a top 5 defence, the Redskins results are a lot worse than their actual play, again a 50/50

Cowboys over Giants - one of the reasons i hate New York, their sports teams (in any sport) are quantity over quality, 2nd worst defence in the league, a mediocre offence going against the 6th best offence

Ravens over Saints - the Saints are in a hole, lost 2 straight at home, 1 week isnt enough time for them to dig themselves out

I agree. I would bench Newton for a game to send a message to the team to get their act together. He has the same problem that he always has had since he joined the team. He holds on to the ball for too long and then gets the big head thinking he's the only one to win the game and makes poor decisions which leads to the other team capitalizing on Newton's mistakes

Just stopping in quickly to do this again:

Chiefs over Raiders: It's the Raiders.

Falcons over Browns: The Browns have Josh Gordon back, but they also just lost a couple of key defensive pieces, including Karlos Dansby. I think Matt Ryan at home gets it done.

Eagles over Titans: The Titans just aren't a good team.

Packers over Vikings: Neither are the Vikings.

Colts over Jaguars: You can probably guess what I was very tempted to write for this one.

Texans over Bengals: The Bengals' offense is sporadic in its production. Plus, they can't stop the run at all; if Arian Foster plays, that should bode well for the Texans.

Bills over Jets: The Bills' defense should be able to shut down whatever meager offense the Jets are able to muster up.

Seahawks over Cardinals: Try as I might, I just can't bring myself to trust Drew Stanton on the road against the Seahawks.

Chargers over Rams: The Rams have beaten the 49ers and the Seahawks, and are pretty terrible against the rest of the league. What gives?

Broncos over Dolphins: This is a super-hard game to pick because there are so many question marks for the Broncos (i.e. Julius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders, etc.), but even without those great players, I don't think Peyton Manning repeats at home what he did on the road against the Rams.

49ers over Washington's football team: The 49ers look like they're getting back on track; Washington looks a few years away from being a few years away.

Cowboys over Giants: The Cowboys should be able to do whatever they want, offensively, against a mediocre Giants team.

Ravens over Saints: Brees has always been one of my favorite NFL players, but I'm starting to suspect that he's done as an elite QB. This team just looks bad all around.

I certainly hope you guys are right about KC beating the Raiders. The Raiders currently have the lead by two touchdowns...

Why can't the Raiders just take an 0-16 season?! They squeaked out of it a few years back too.

It's half time and the score is Oakland 14, Kansas City 3... I'm glad I changed my mind and decided to watch.

@Dermain. Yeah, I notice you did not make picks before the game. Would you have picked Oakland?. And an early 2 TD lead is nothing to take to the bank.

I do hope the Raiders get a win this season, though, so it might as well be this week (much as I would also love for Denver to lose the division). I would not wish an 0-16 season on any team... well, no, I would, just not on the Raiders. They've suffered enough.

I'm not a football fan. Can't stand the sport. Far too violent and it's creating addicts to pain pills.

I just care enough that the teams of people I dislike lose. It's quite a long list.

Congratulations to Oakland for getting their first win of the season by beating the Chiefs last night. What would be impressive is they win the rest of the games they have left in their schedule.

Oakland finally did it. I'm happy for them too. I'd like to think the Seahawk helped indirectly, by making the Chiefs wear themselves out beating us Sunday.   :P  I do wish my Seahawks had beaten them Sunday; but seeing them trounced by the Raiders the very next game was the next best thing.  :D Better the Chiefs getting stomped by the Raiders, than us...
The NFL admitted missing interference calls against the Chiefs last Sunday(11/16) during Seattle's match with Kansas City.

2 missed pass interference calls, who knows? It might have made a difference. Maybe Kansas City isn't as tough as we all thought...

The Raiders are hopeful they've turned a corner:

3 Oakland names deserve special mention here. The first, running back Latavius Murray for his 2 touchdown runs early on. These were the first 2 rushing touch downs against Kansas City this season. He received a concussion for his troubles. The Chiefs edged ahead. But then, with less than 2 minutes of game time left, rookie quarterback Derek Carr threw a 9 yard touch down pass to wide receiver James Jones and saved the game.

Watching a team full of rookies find their feet is satisfying. That is, until they beat your own team... :P

Scores so far for Sunday 11/23:

Cleveland Browns beat Atlanta Falcons, 26 to24  A close game, like I thought.

Philadelphia Eagles beat Tennessee Titans, 43 to 24  An easy game for Philly.

New England Patriots beat Detroit Lions, 34 to 9  Surprised the score wasn't closer. Good job, Patriots. :)

Green Bay Packers beat Minnesota Vikings, 24 to 21  Get out your happy dance shoes, Packers fans.   :)

Indianapolis Colts beat Jacksonville Jaguars, 23 to 3   Jaguars will have to look elsewhere for an upset.

Cincinnati Bengals beat Houston Texans, 22 to 13  This was a hard pick.

Chicago Bears beat Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 21 to 13  ...

San Francisco 49ers beat Washington Redskins, 17 to 13 Another close game, well played.

San Diego Chargers beat St. Louis Rams, 27 to 24 A strong performance against a sneaky challenger. Is San Diego back on track?

The Raiders still won that one game, this has been a great disappointment in the world of football.

Carry on.

Last Sunday game 11/23:

Dallas Cowboys beat New York Giants, 31-28

This game left me feeling an enormous amount of respect for both teams. It was beautiful football. These guys really did their best. But Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham jr. has an injured back now. Shades of Tony Romo, I wonder how bad it is. That he returned later to the game doesn't tell us much.
I think that finding ways to make this game safer should be a higher priority. Better equipment, something...
