HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS? It was good seeing them redeem themselves for what happened on Thanksgiving. Hopefully that will carry over for their last 2 games

Nice to see Carolina win and Atlanta lose. The Panthers, for the moment anyways, are in 1st place in their division. Come on Bears. Carolina needs you to beat the Saints tonight. Hahahaha

i hope Manziel fails hard, i dont know why but i really hate that guy....

And I hope he hits. JFF was fun to watch in college and I love anyone with his passion for the game.

Also, the Browns have an awesome fanbase and deserve to see their team in the playoffs.

Haha. The Bills knocked off the Packers. Which I don't think was a surprise, Rodgers and the receiving corp (well especially the receivers) playing like ass definitely was.

I knew the Bills' D at their home would be tough, but seeing Rodgers and his receivers so out-of-sync was appalling. Mac was not at his best, either. No idea why we abandoned the run when the game was close and the RBs were moving the ball effectively. We were not playing too bad otherwise, just one blown punt coverage and our passing game cost us this one.

On the upside, Rodgers's bad game helped me knock off the #1 seed team in my dynasty league. Now heading to the Championship!

Monday 12/15, final week 15 game:

New Orleans Saints beat Chicago Bears, 31 to 15 Not a surprise to any of us, I Think.

Sunday evening 12/14:

Dallas Cowboys beat Philadelphia Eagles, 38 to 27 My changing my pick to the Eagles last Thursday was somewhat less than rational. The Cowboys, a team that oddly seems to play better on the road than at home (this year anyway) solidified their lead in the NFC East, Sunday night. Tony Romo seems to be managing his injured back, but needs to be injected with pain killers before each game.

The Arizona Cardinals(11-3) Have clinched their place in the play offs but their quarterback situation is very unstable. Forth string quarterback Ryan Lindley will be starting next Sunday in place of Drew Stanton, who is out with a knee injury.
http://bleacherrepor...knee-and-return
http://bleacherrepor...-stanton-injury
They will be playing the Seattle Seahawks in game 16 and I think the Hawks can take them. Seattle has had some injury issues this season, but compared to other teams, I think we've been very fortunate. Could Russell Wilson have titanium bones? Anyway, Go Seahawks!

That sucks that New Orleans beat the Bears.

For Carolina to win the division, they have to win both remaining games and for New Oleans to lose one of their 2 remaining games.

Week 16, no team that is still in contention for the play offs can afford to lose this week or next week. Here are my picks:

Jacksonville Jaguars(2-12) over Tennessee Titans(2-12) Very high stinkfest potential.

San Diego Chargers(8-6) over San Francisco 49ers(7-7)

Miami Dolphins(7-7) over Minnesota Vikings(6-8)

Baltimore Ravens(9-5) over Houston Texans(7-7)

Detroit Lions(10-4) over Chicago Bears(5-9)

Carolina Panthers(5-8-1) over Cleveland Browns(7-7)

New Orleans Saints(6-8) over Atlanta Falcons(5-9)

Green Bay Packers(10-4) over Tampa Bay Buccaneers(2-12)

Pittsburgh Steelers(9-5) over Kansas City Chiefs(8-6)

New England Patriots(11-3) over New York Jets(3-11)

St. Louis Rams(6-8) over New York Giants(5-9)

Buffalo Bills(8-6) over Oakland Raiders(2-12)

Dallas Cowboys(10-4) over Indianapolis Colts(10-4)

Seattle Seahawks(10-4) over Arizona Cardinals(11-3)

Denver Broncos(11-3) over Cincinnati Bengals(9-4-1)

I'm almost certain I'll return to change 1 or 2 of these before game time. I picked 14-2 for week 15.

After going 14-2 last week, I'll see if I can continue my momentum

Jacksonville over Tennessee: Picking against the Titans every game has been the single most reliable strategy I've had this year.
Philly over Washington: Even though I think it's increasingly likely that Philly will miss the playoffs, they should have enough to beat a Washington team in disarray.
San Francisco over San Diego: SF's defense has still been very good; I don't think the Chargers' offensive line will be able to deal with them.
Detroit over Chicago: Sorry, just don't think Clausen is going to get it done against the Lions.
Atlanta over NO: The Saints' homefield advantage has been missing this season, and I don't think they can stop Julio Jones at all.
NE over NYJ: Is any discussion of this necessary?
Pittsburgh over Kansas City: With no touchdowns to wide receivers the entire season (!), the Chiefs are absolutely not the kind of team that can exploit the Steelers' weak secondary.
Green Bay over Tampa Bay: Not much elaboration needed here.
Carolina over Cleveland: Johnny Manziel's one bad game (and it was bad) doesn't mean he's a bust, but Carolina seems to be getting it together (although maybe that's just a symptom of them having played against other NFC South teams the past two weeks).
Baltimore over Houston: Just don't see Tom Savage getting it done against a very good Baltimore team.
Rams over NYG: I'm just going with the higher-variance team here; NYG can beat bad to mediocre teams, and I actually don't know if the Rams fall into that category, given both who they've beaten and who they've lost to.
Dallas over Indianapolis: Indy's defense struggles badly against the better offenses (see their earlier game against Pittsburgh).
Buffalo over Oakland: Seven points might be enough for Buffalo to win this game.
Seattle over Arizona: During Ken Whisenhunt's last year in AZ, we got to witness a few games of the Ryan Lindley experience. Based on that, if the Cardinals get anything at all out of Lindley, we'll have to say that Bruce Arians is the greatest quarterback coach of all time.
Denver over Cincinatti: CJ Anderson has been running very well; that is bad news for the Bengals' rush defense.

As far as RGIII, Geno, Locker and Cutler (you could also add the Rams' Sam Bradford to this list), the most intriguing possibility I've heard would be RGIII to the Eagles. He would be the first QB Chip Kelly has had as Eagles' head coach who has mobility comparable to the QBs Kelly had as Oregon's head coach, opening up all kinds of interesting possibilities. I see Geno, Locker and Bradford as career backups from this point forward.

With Cutler, I have no idea. Benching Cutler doesn't make sense to me; I've never been high on him (During the preseason, Brian Billick incomprehensibly picked Cutler as his MVP favorite), but with his massive contract, you can't really release the guy. Benching him doesn't exactly increase his trade value, so what gives? For possible landing spots, I would look at teams looking for a quick fix at QB: Buffalo and St. Louis come to mind. Those teams will be looking for a competent, experienced QB who doesn't need to be the heroic guy that will carry the franchise, a la Alex Smith in Kansas City.

Almost forgot, Thursday 12/18 week 16:

Jacksonville Jaguars beat Tennessee Titans, 21 to 13
http://www.nfl.com/n...fc-south-cellar

Some notes about week 16's upcoming games:

I chose the Cowboys over the Colts this week because the Colts most recent wins have been over teams that didn't provide much of a challenge and, the Cowboys have successfully adjusted their playing style to protect a more vulnerable Tony Romo, while still benefiting from his skills. Key players in the Dallas strategy have been Running Back Demarco Murray and Wide Receiver Dez Bryant.
But last Sunday, Demarco Murray broke his left hand bad enough to have surgery and is still not definite to play this weekend. If he does it could still affect his play. I'm not going to change my pick, but there is reason for concern...
http://www.dallascow...-playing-sunday
http://espn.go.com/d...ng-hand-surgery

Green Bay Won't have anything to worry about from Tampa Bay, but a lot of people including Aaron Rodgers are still scratching their head over last weekend's bust.

 Back for the rest...

Philly over Washington: this game is just not upset material IMO.

SD over SF: once again, Kaep is garbage.

Lions over Bears: speaking of garbage QBs...

Hotlanta over 'Nawlins: seems like ATL has overcome their OL issues and the offense is coming together.

Pats over Jets: sorry 'mike, with Brady against this secondary, an upset seems unlikely.

KC over Pitt: tough one, but I like the more stable team.

GB over TB: we, for the most part, beat ourselves last week. It won't happen again.

Browns over Panthers: I'm going back-and-forth on this one so I am just gonna take mah mayne JOHNNY FOOTBAWL!!

Ravens over Texans: even without Ngata, Baltimore's strength is their front-7, and Case Keenum or the rookie QB starting does nothing to negate that.

St. Lou over NYG: the Giants have really only been winning against weak opponents, and the Rams are feisty.

Dallas over Indy: Andrew Luck turns the ball over too much, and the Cowboys are not the team you want to get those opportunities.

Bills over Raiders: Orton can the offense can score on this defense, and if their D plays like they did last week against rookie QB Carr, well...

Seattle over Arizona: Ryan Lindley... just when the Packers needed help from the Cardinals. I see where this is going.

Broncos over Bungles: what Cincy lost on D when Mike Zimmer left will haunt them here. Also, they absolutely blow in big, nationally-televised games.

As for free-agent QBs, I am most interested in seeing where Killa Cam winds up. I expect him to resign with Carolina, but that is not a sure thing. Also, Nick Foles, mainly in the interest of my dynasty team, but he's one of the few on the market who truly have the ability to be a solid long-term starter (all those other guys -- Locker, SmINT, Bradford and whomsoever -- have too many issues). Also, I like the idea of RG3 in Philly. Nice fit for Chip Kelly's system, much-needed change of scenery for Griffin. 'Like the Eagles and hope he can turn his career around.

Cutler wants to stay in Chicago. I am pretty sure I can speak on behalf of Packer Nation in saying I also hope he stays. We love him!

Here's a good read from NFL.com. The article lists some very prominent QBs who had hideous, Manziel-like first starts. Among them is Peyton Manning:
http://www.nfl.com/n...ad-first-starts
So the folks dissing Johnny Manziel, shouldn't..

At the other end of the rookie spectrum is Odell Beckham, who may win offensive rookie of the year. Aside from THAT particular catch, he's been having a really good season. The Giant's only real bright spot.

Yes they should have stuck with the running game. I guess when Aaron Rodgers is your quarterback you have the expectation as a coach that they'll figure it out. And they had there chances, Rodgers doesn't see a wide open Nelson, then on the next drive Nelson drops a pass when he was wide open again. I was having flashbacks to that playoff game against the Giants a few years ago. I was even joking that they should bring Donald Driver out of retirement to catch a ****** pass. Haha.
