And we beat them at their home too! I would have felt better about this win if the Cardinals had been playing with a good quarterback. I feel sad for coach Arians. No regrets about winning though.

Just need the Panthers to beat Atlanta to win the divsion and host a playoff game.

Anyone catch this little gem of Detroit C Dominic Riola from the Lions/Bears game? ...

Normally I'd want the NFL to issue a suspension here, but I think I'd rather have him playing on Sunday when we beat them.

And the suspension would be completely justified. That was bad...

Heh, he's a piece of trash. Like Suh. Last time they were in Green Bay, he was shouting profanities and other nasty stuff at the UW marching band.
We can't beat that team hard enough this Sunday.

Looking at the NFC South, I seriously hope the NFL will consider some rule changes about playoff seeding in the coming years. It's ridiculous to have a 7-9 team host a playoff game while 9-7 or 10-6 teams stay home. In 2008, the 11-5 Patriots missed the playoffs; in 2010, the 12-4 Colts visited the 8-8 Chargers and lost, while the 11-5 Saints visited the 7-9 Seahawks and lost. Additionally, in 2011, the 12-4 Steelers visited the 8-8 Broncos and lost (the infamous "316" game). Now, the guaranteed to be under 0.500 NFC South winner will be hosting a team with at least 10 wins.
I get that the NFL wants to build up rivalries between teams in the same division and wants divisional games to matter, but it's getting a bit silly. Here would at least be a starting point: How about seeding in the wild-card round being based on record? If you win your division, you're in, but if you're a 7-9 divisional winner going up against a 12-4 wildcard, the 12-4 team hosts. Seems like it's enough of a reward for winning your division that you get to go to the playoffs at all; that should be enough to keep divisional games interesting while not unduly rewarding teams for happening to be in a division where their rivals all stink.
Heh, he's a piece of trash. Like Suh. Last time they were in Green Bay, he was shouting profanities and other nasty stuff at the UW marching band.
We can't beat that team hard enough this Sunday.
Sometimes, I think Suh might be a diagnosable sociopath; for him to do the dirty stuff that he does, and then lie about it as calmly as he does is some pretty cold s--t.

If they change it that's really the only thing they can change is the seeding. And just to play devil's advocate and I'm not saying the NFC south doesn't suck because it does. But the system is always going to be unfair with imbalanced schedules and all that.

Ravens over Browns: not even sure who CLE is trotting out at QB this week.
Cowboys over Redskins: even if DAL had nothing to play for, I'd be hard-pressed to pick the 'Skins.
Colts over Titans: Indy is likely to rest some starters, and still I doubt TEN can take them.
Bucs over Saints: some out-of-contention teams are going to play spoiler. I'll take a shot on Bucs.
Giants over Philly: amazing how OBJ has rejuvenated this offense, kid's a stud.
Bills over Pats: off-game for NE, no playoff implications with win or loss.
Jacksonville over Houston: so long as Bortles does not crap the bed ala Flacco last week, Jags can spoil.Chiefs over Chargers: not sure what's in play here but KC is in the hunt, while SD may rest -- nvm: SD, Smith's injured.
Dolphins over Jets: both teams out, they will give their best -- advantage: MIA.
Vikings over Bears: MIN's got to be excited for their future while CHI's morale is likely suffering.
Broncos over Raiders: upset not far-fetched but I am not counting on it.
49ers over Cardinals: 9ers play to get some dignity back after disappointing year.
PACKERS!!! over Lions: the gall you people have to pick the team that's 0-23 in our house.
Seahawks over Rams: Rams won't spoil @SEA with home team looking to solidify HFA.
Falcons over Panthers: ATL's respectable offense against a suspect defensive backside decides it for me.
Bengals over Pittsburgh: so says my head, though my gut says otherwise.

Atlanta Falcons(6-9) over Carolina Panthers(6-8-1) I had a terrible time with this pick. http://www.nfl.com/n...ble-vs-panthers
To the Panthers fans here, I hope I'm wrong.
Baltimore Ravens(9-6) over Cleveland Browns(7-8)
Dallas Cowboys(11-4) over Washington Redskins(4-11) There have been rumors that Dallas might rest some of it's key players this week, but not according to owner Jerry Jones: http://www.foxsports...redskins-122614
Emotions are going to run high for this game. Dallas will want payback.
Indianapolis Colts(10-5) over Tennessee Titans(2-13)
Green Bay Packers(11-4) over Detroit Lions(11-4) Something needs to be pointed out here. The Lions have lost the last 23 consecutive games at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. The last time they beat the Packers at home was 1991. Add to this, the fact that the Packers have been undefeated at home all season and they have no injury issues serious enough to create problems (as far as we know). I'm going with the Packers to win this. http://www.nfl.com/p...the-2014-season
Houston Texans(8-7) over Jacksonville Jaguars(3-12)
San Diego Chargers(9-6) over Kansas City Chiefs(8-7) I made this pick because Chiefs QB Alex Smith has been found to have a lacerated spleen and will be replaced by Chase Daniel. http://www.nfl.com/n...playoff-picture
Miami Dolphins(8-7) over New York Jets(3-12)
Minnesota Vikings(8-7) over Chicago Bears(5-10)
New England Patriots(12-3) over Buffalo Bills(8-7) An easy home game for the Patriots.
New York Giants(6-9) over Philadelphia Eagles(9-6) A few weeks a go this pick would have been unthinkable. I may be over reaching here, but Odell Beckham has injected some new confidence into the bumbling Giants. The Eagles are still a decent team though, despite their recent losses and this game could go either way.
Pittsburgh Steelers(10-5) over Cincinnati Bengals(10-4-1) I really wanted to pick the Bengals here, but Pittsburgh has a bigger arsenal and they'll be playing at home. I do think there's a good possibility of an upset though. We've seen too often that the Steelers can play like they're less than the sum of their talent.
New Orleans Saints(6-9) over Tampa Bay Buccaneers the(2-13)
Denver Broncos(11-4) over Oakland Raiders(3-12) The Raiders are going to freeze up there in Denver.
Arizona Cardinals(11-4) over San Francisco 49ers(7-8) Almost all the different sources I follow favor the 49ers to win this one because Ryan Lindley is starting again. They may be might be right. But I'm not going with that because they are playing the 49ers and they won't be the elite contender the Seahawks were last week. The Cards have had another week to figure out to compensate for Lindley's weaknesses and if any coach can come up with creative solutions, Bruce Arians can. I may be wrong here, but I'll take that chance.
Seattle Seahawks(11-4) over St. Louis Rams(6-9) This will be a sweet, sweet win.
Edit: I think I will stay with the picks I've made. I hope I don't get crushed too badly.

As for the NFC South sending a team with a losing record to the play offs , i am happy enough . The divisional game have to mean something and if NFC South winner can knock out a team with a better record then good luck to them . There are two parts to the season , the first is getting into the play offs and the second is doing something when you get there . There always seems to be one team that gets hot at the right time and wins the SB .

Manning prefers to collapse in the playoffs, not the regular season!
Speaking of whom, I just read at a football forum I frequent that Peyton has more INTs this year than Eli. Kinda blew my mind. Not having tracked their stats, myself (aside from knowing Eli threw 5 picks in one game), I never would have guessed that.

fun fact, Eli leads the league for interceptions since 2012 with 55, as for Peyton, he was a disaster against the Bengals, hell the whole offence was, if they play that way against Oakland Khalil Mack and that young defence will run them over like a freight train
