I'm kind of in awe that Brady let Garapullo play the second half.

Bill Belicheck would murder the entire football team and take a p*ss on tom Bradys corpse if they over look the Bills

Uh oh! Time to write their eulogies. :P

Though, to be fair, at first blush it looks like I had an awful week on my picks

That game was a lot of fun. Watching the Redskins have a complete meltdown during the last five or so minutes of the game was hilarious.

While I'm not a football fan, I do have some comments on the whole Jim Harbaugh/49ers incident (having grown up in the Bay Area with 49er fan parents). It really doesn't make any sense to me at all, even the whole personality conflicts with the front office and Harbaugh. The 49ers played the better than they've played in the past 10 years or so with him as head coach (minus the losing in the playoffs), and while he did make some questionable decisions (the whole Alex Smith/Colin Kapernick dilemma) I wouldn't consider any of it for a reason to get rid of him.

Then again, perhaps it's just me not understanding football enough (shocking that) to fully understand the situation.

no one will take the Raiders over the Broncos? oh ye of little faith :P

I don't know...

I think they have a lot of faith in the Raiders losing...

welp, its gonna be an interesting month for me, off to Washington on the 7th to watch a couple of Wizards games, then to Foxborough on the 10th for the AFC divisional round, then back to Washington for the Spurs and Nets games, and hopefully back to Foxborough again on the 18th, back to Washington for 2 more games (unfortunatelly the Wizards have a 4 game road trip...) and finally off to Glendale for the Pro Bowl and the SuperBowl (hopefullly the right team will be there too :P )

Here is the last score for Sunday evening 12/28:

Pittsburgh Steeler beat Cincinnati Bengals, 27 to 17

And so the regular season ends. I'm gratified things turned out so well for the Seahawks, I certainly wasn't that optimistic 8 games ago. Coach Pete Carroll keeps a lower profile than some of the top coaches and he has quietly done his job very well. Part of the reason the Seahawks have been successful so far has been the fact that they've managed to avoid serious injuries to their key players. I wonder how much of a role Coach Carroll had in that? Injuries have turned this season upside down for some teams. Shall we add, "keeping your players as safe and well as possible" to the list of what makes a good coach?
We owe a lot this season to Marshawn Lynch, too. He's not more important than Russell Wilson, Richard Sherman and others, but he was the final piece of the team structure that made it all work. I'm so glad we didn't lose him when Percy Harvin left. We can also reflect here on how important good people skills are in team building. People do need to get along, and the Hawks had some rough patches.

Sometimes, I think Suh might be a diagnosable sociopath; for him to do the dirty stuff that he does, and then lie about it as calmly as he does is some pretty cold s--t.

Speaking of Suh: http://www.nfl.com/n...uh-for-one-game

Glad Aaron Rodgers wasn't badly injured...

11-4 last week; I'll go ahead and make playoff picks:

Carolina over Arizona: Arizona's just had the unluckiest season ever in terms of injuries; I just don't see Ryan Lindley and company playing well enough to beat a team that been at its best over the past few weeks of the season.

Pittsburgh over Baltimore: Can you name one player in the Ravens' defensive backfield? Roethlisberger (who is tied for the league lead in yards) should have a very good day against them, even with Le'Veon Bell questionable.

Indianapolis over Cincinnati: This is actually a tough game for me to pick, so I'll go with my previous formula of choosing the best QB/Coach combination; that makes Indianapolis my winner in this game.

Dallas over Detroit: Matthew Stafford has never won a road game against a team with a winning record (0-16). Even with Suh having won his suspension appeal and being available to play Sunday, I think this is as good a chance as Romo and company will have to erase their "can't win in the playoffs" stink.

Ended on a sour, 9-7 note. Still good enough to win the NFC South, though.  :P

Playoffs!!

Panthers over Cardinals: Panthers have been solid the past few weeks and Arizona is just in such bad shape right now.

Stillers over Ravens: oof! ... this is a tough call, really went back and forth, but, PIT has just been playing better of late. *shrug*

Indy over Cincy: without the ability to rush the QB, Bengals are looking at yet another early postseason exit.

Cowboys over Lions: let the door hit you on the way out, Detroit.

I only did 10-6 again last week. There were upsets all right, but not the ones I chose.  :P

For wild card weekend I'm in complete agreement with Osbornep and HYR 2.0 on their picks. The choices look pretty straight forward. That doesn't mean the games won't be fun to watch and that we won't possibly have some upsets though...

Carolina Panthers(7-8-1) over Arizona Cardinals(11-5) Would you have believed it would come to this?

Pittsburgh Steelers(11-5) over Baltimore Ravens(10-6)

Indianapolis Colts(11-5) over Cincinnati Bengals(10-5-1)

Dallas Cowboys(12-4) over Detroit Lions(11-5) I'm not a Cowboys fan, but as far as this game goes, GO DALLAS!

Have a good, safe New Years Eve everyone.

Edit: I realize it would probably be better for the Seahawks if the Lions beat Dallas, I just can't bring myself to go there. If we need to beat Dallas ourselves, so be it.

Edit: You know what's funny? Snoop Dogg made the same picks the three of us did... http://www.nfl.com/v...ut-the-Steelers

What did I tell you at the beginnning of this thread? Watch out for Carolina. That's right I did. Look what they did to Falcons. Yep Panthers always eat their prey. Hahaha.  I even saw all the other teams shaking. They know the Panther defense is back. Hahahaha. You have been warned. Hahahaha

Last week was bad. 8-8

Playoffs

Carolina beats Arizona. Why? Why not? The Cardinals are birds and Panthers always get their prey. Hahahaha. Panthers win 33 - 9.

Ravens over Pittsburgh.   Score 27 - 23

Colts over Bengals. I would pick the Bengals if this game was being played in Cincinnati. Colts win 42 - 24

Dallas over Detroit  Cowboys win 37 - 13.

I'm going out a limb here to say that Carolina will go to Dallas for the NFC Championship game.

I will go out on another limb since I have 2 of them, hahaha, and say Denver and Ravens play for the AFC Championship game.

I'm sure I'm wrong about those games, but what the heck. Time will tell
