You can add Philadelphia over NY Giants 27 - 0 to that list.

I was very close to choosing Cleveland with the upset. The Steelers looked very suspect after losing to Tampa and only squeaking by Jacksonville. Should've known. I'd love to see the Browns turn things around though and make the playoffs. Great fanbase, they definitely deserve to see a winning season.

Packers game was a real nail-biter. This team just loves to run me (and all its other fans, no doubt) up the wall like that. Just makes the win that much more satisfying, though, and against a Miami team with a pretty tough defense. Good game, good football from both teams.

Also this Sunday, 10/12:

Cleveland Brown beat Pittsburgh Steelers, 31 to 10
New England Patriots beat Buffalo bills, 37 to 22

CAROLINA PANTHERS TIE CINCINATTI BENGALS_____ 37 to 37 highest tying score in NFL history
http://www.nfl.com/n...g-tie-game-ever

Arizona Cardinals beat Washington Redskins, 30 to 20
Indianapolis Colts beat Houston Texans, 33 to 28
Tennessee Titan beat Jacksonville Jaguars, 16 to 14 The Jags are having a hideous season. I doubt I'll pick them again.
Green Bay Packers beat Miami Dolphins, 27 to 24 Another happy dance for the Packers :)
Detroit Lions beat Minnesota Vikings, 17 to 3 I think I'm done picking the Vikings too.
Denver Bronco beat New York Jets, 31 to 17
Baltimore Ravens beat Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 48 to 17
San Diego Chargers beat Oakland Raiders, 31 to 28 I was surprised Oakland did as well as they did.
Chicago Bears beat Atlanta Falcons, 27 to 13
Dallas Cowboys beat Seattle Seahawks, 30 to 23

More later...

(Darn Cowboys)

I'm going to nitpick here and point out that you placed the scores in that game in the wrong order.

I fail to see how a team could win with 17 points against 31...

Other than that, my interest in football only exists because I take glee in the rage it causes certain people I know that their favorite teams lost.

You may now carry on with your thread.

Football's the only reason I hate not being American. Or well that and baseball, basketbal, hockey (more a Canadian thing, but shush) and lacrosse.

If I was given the choice to be born somewhere else, it would totally have been in some backwards ass town in Texas or something where football is on equal par with God.

You can still adopt a team for your own, even if you're not from the USA. :) Some of these NFL teams have fans worldwide.

Also, try and see if there is enough interest where you are to start some American style football teams. I've read there is some interest in doing this in the UK.

Yes. A real deviation from their recent improvements. I didn't see this game, I wonder what happened.

Philadelphia Eagles ___ 27 ..... New York Giants ___ 0 (game 6, 10/12)

Here is the schedule for week 7: http://www.nfl.com/schedules/2014/REG7

I'll make my picks tomorrow. Picked 11-4 this time, a little better. :)

Way back in the day I decided Detroit was my city :P so it's the Redwings, the Lions, the Tigers and the Pistons for me ;)

There used to be a football team in Amsterdam, where one of the NFL's MVPs of the league used to play: Kurt Warner.

But that team is no more. Or well, rather, the EFL is no more.

I wish my dad had allowed me to get into football earlier. Two guys I used to play football with in HS got drafted in April, and both made their teams (one a Cowboy, one a Raider). I am undersized, but definitely had the athleticism and commitment to the game. If I had been training sooner, maybe I could have been right there with them? Unlikely, but college recruitment might not have been far-fetched.

Well the Redwings are doing ok, so are the Tigers I think.

The Pistons and Lions though >.>

I like to think that I would've been a godly quarterback. I've always been rather good at throwing things. (I wasn't allowed to shoot at full strength when playing handball in high school during PE, they were afraid I might hurt people :P :D) And in football every play start at a 0 point. Almost everything can be memorized from that 0 point.

Relating that to the days I still played shooters online, I think I would've been really, really good. I was nigh unbeatable in shooters in the first one or two minutes after the start of a round. I knew where everybody was and could be. I shot blindly at points where people were about to pop up, which of course got me quite an amount of cheating accusations.

But I've never played a minute of football in my life, so this is pure headcanon.

My week 7 picks:

New England Patriots over New York Jets
Tom Brady is back to playing well and the Patriots have been looking a lot better since their embarrassing defeat during week 4 by the Kansas City Chiefs. This is an easy pick.

Baltimore Ravens over Atlanta Falcons
I think the Ravens are looking more cohesive and focused than the Falcons. And, Joe Flacco has been playing very well.

Washington Redskins over Tennessee Titans
The Redskins may have lost to the Cardinals in week 6, but I think they're going to be able to handle the Titans.

Seattle Seahawks over St. Louis Rams
I don't see the Seahawks having anymore problems beating the Rams than the 49ers had beating them last week.

Cleveland Browns over Jacksonville Jaguars
Not much to say here. Someone needs to buy the Jags and seriously restructure that team.

Indianapolis Colts over Cincinnati Bengals
This was a harder pick. The Bengals look good but I think the Colts with Andrew Luck look better.

Buffalo Bills over Minnesota Vikings
Terry Bridgewater is good, but not good enough to drag the dead weight of those Vikings who are not so good. The Bills, 3-3 for the season, should be all right here.

Chicago Bears over Miami Dolphins
The Bears (3-3) should be able to do this. The Dolphins (2-3) didn't look that bad last week even though they lost narrowly to Green Bay, but they've also lost Knowshon Moreno for a while due to a torn ACL.

Got to go, will be back shortly.

Moving along here with the rest of my week 7 picks:

Detroit Lions over New Orleans Saints
Detroit (4-2) has been playing well overall. Although the Saints may have more to bring to the game than the Vikings did last week, I'm still picking the Lions.

Carolina Panthers over Green Bay Packers
This goes against reason, I think. The Packers are favored to win and they may very well do that. But Panthers seem to have this very feisty something and Cam Newton as well. I'm picking them anyway.

San Diego Chargers over Kansas City Chiefs
I have a strong feeling that the Chargers (5-1) may end up at the Superbowl.

Arizona Cardinals over Oakland Raiders
Another easy pick.

Dallas Cowboys over New York Giants
Nothing would make me happier as a Seahawks fan than if the NYG were to chew up the Dallas Cowboys and spit them out screaming like a bunch of little girls. However, I know how likely that is...

Denver Broncos over San Francisco 49ers
Peyton Manning may very well exceed Bret Favre's NFL career TD record of 508 this Sunday. ( Manning has 506 career TDs)

Houston Oilers over Pittsburgh Steelers
I'm picking Houston. The Pittsburgh Steelers are not the Indianapolis Colts.

Have fun. :D

Not really a superbowl thought, but does anyone think rugby player Jarryd Hayne will find happiness in the NFL?

Here is a top rated rugby player who really wants to play American football. Will the skills translate? I wonder how easily an American football player would play rugby...

Funny thing, I actually joined rugby club this season at my uni. Having football experience definitely goes in, what with the tackling and ball-carrying. That fellow looks to me like a "back," the speedier guys in the game. He could make for an intriguing WR/RB, or maybe return specialist. I would think his main strength would be quickness in space, eluding defenders. It'll be an interesting experiment, if nothing else. Ravens star DL Haloti Ngata also had a rugby background as I recall.

So I went 9-5-1 last week, meh. Let's see if I can rebound...

[Thurs]

Pats over Jets -- Here's to another boring and lopsided primetime game. Start Brady and Pats D in fantasy.

[Sun]

Ravens over Falcons -- Had a discussion with a few others recently and realized you can count the number of good Falcons players on one damn hand.

Redskins over Titans -- Cousins is clearly not better than backup-caliber at QB, but that may be enough still to beat the Titans.

Seahawks over Rams -- I knew the Rams' D wasn't playing well this season, but just saw this stat: only 1 sack through the last six weeks!! O.O

Browns over Jags -- Jacksonville is arguably the worst team in the league right now. Newly-invigorated Cleveland team should roll.

Colts over Bengals -- Bengals D gave up too many points to the Panthers at home, and now face better offense away. Terrible time to lose AJ Green.

Bills over Vikings -- Teddy should perform better this game, but that's another tough defense, and the Bills' run game could really do the Vikings in.

Dolphins over Bears -- Bears offense is potent, but the 'Fins just had practice against a better one and performed admirably  ;). They've got this.

Saints over Lions -- Saints haven't look good thus far, but are equipped to beat the Lions' tough D on paper. Brees and Payton off a bye get my vote.

Packers over Panthers -- Cam is good. Good enough to carry Carolina to a W, but our D is equipped to stop him and Greg Olsen, and IMO, that's game.

Chiefs over Chargers -- H's upset of the week.

Cardinals over Raiders -- H's upset of the week ... 'til he came to his senses and picked AZ instead. Raiders will get one eventually, just not this week.

Cowboys over Giants -- I underestimated the loss of RB Rashad Jennings. NYG offense loses a huge dynamic with him out, and now Cruz is done too.

Broncos over 49ers -- 9ers D matches up with this offense, but it's still regular season, so Peyton will do alright methinks (TD record imminent!)

[Mon]

Texans over Steelers -- Texans' philosophy has been to dominate on D and put offense in position to win. Against this Steelers team, that should do it.

PS -- it's on, themikefest!!

He has been making the news here over this ,. He is an elite player in our football Rugby League not Rugby they are different games . I don`t think he will be a star in the NFL because every player is elite in the NFL . Yes i see him as a kick returner or WR only .
