Edit: Traveling from one end of the map (Orlais) to the other (Ferelden) and then back to the Keep should take a lot of time from PC's perspective (1000s of miles).

I'm afraid I just know the one language mate. Anyway you explain what your trying to get across again, however if your wondering fast travel options I know you can fast travel to camps, keeps etc from the war map and then you can also ride mounts around the world. They haven't went into too much detail.

Is this about the timespan the game will have to span to accomodate potential travel times for the PC, if he does not use instantaneous travel devices?

Well, I imagine there will be some implication of time passed after travelling.

DA:O apparently took place over a year, and I imagine the vast majority of that year was the party hopping kilometres knocking coconuts together for weeks at a time while off-screen.
