Project

I created a merregon model (models to be exact). I made it because I'm working on a module, in which the PC participates in the Blood war, so I needed an army from Hell. One made up of actually formidable enemies, which would make the player run as soon as he sees them rather than let him calmly pick the spell, which will blow the f up everyone in sight.

That being said, I really hope someone will download it and use it in his module/campain. That way I'll know my work is actually worth something.

Unlike my other uploads this one is not based on a creature from the D&D manuals. Although the legion devil is described there I decided to create a custom creature. Mainly because I found the manual version insanely underpowerd for a fiend (even if it's just a basic unit), but also becuase I wanted the legionnaires look like LEGIONNAIRES. Remember Caesar's Legion in Fallout New Vegas? As weird as they were considered by some people they had that aura of power and fear that demanded respect. That's exactly how I would picture a Legion of Nine Hells.

I always considered devil and demons encoutered in NWN2 a f-ing joke. They were not scary, dreadful or even that much of a challenge (as you might expect from a creature that lives in HELL). I'm trying to "fix" that in my module by making Baatezu as horrifying, obscene and dangerous as possible, but there is no way to do it with NWN2 original blueprints.

Do your models accept regular armor?

Now I know what a sunburnt Roman githyanki would have looked like. :)

Mephasm wears what is basically a toga, so yeah, I can see "roman legions".

It's very interesting.  The idea of demons being called "Legion" is from a Biblical story of a spokesman for a group of demons who said, "My name is Legion, for we are many".  They were subsequently allowed to possess the bodies of 2000 pigs, which immediately ran off a cliff and drowned in the lake.

This is similar to the story in the Iliad, where the goddess/enchantress Circe seeks to transform Odysseus' Legionnaires into pigs.  So I think demons in the gear of Roman legions is appropriate as well.

It also plays well with the idea of devils as highly organized/disciplined (lawful) as opposed to the chaotic  demons.

Right, the original stories didn't make that kind of distinction between demons and devils, but in D&D terms, I should have said devils.

rjshae - I'm not entirely sure what you mean. The model accepts the standard armor accesories, so if you create an armor item and give it to the creature it will adapt, like this:

If you're asking about the body model, that it will remain the same (only tinted). However it can be changed easily by editing appearance.2da - just insert P_HH? into N_Legion and you're done,
