In the last 2 dragon age games, one of the things that I really wished for was the ability to respec my characters because somewhere down the line I messed up somewhere building my characters. I'm hoping this feature makes it into the next Dragon Age game to allow for flexibility and experimentation on character builds

there is a small problem with that. it ruins the character build. it will just feel like the inquisitor is no longer a person but a machine with abilities and spare parts. respecialization would make specialization... well... meaningless. plus am sure in this game they made the road ahead of you in abilities very clear so you know what you are picking. I hope this helped.

Ummmm, you had that option in DA2 by using the Maker's Sigh potion.

Indeed you could, here's hoping we get something like it in DA:I.

I think that they said, perhaps in the Raptr chat, that you could respec

Well, technically that was DLC

Maker's Sigh was great for getting rid of the initial talents/spells that party members came with.  I hope it makes a comeback.

Respec is one of the things I hope is in the game, It make's the first playthrough better in my opinion. I know there is a description for the spell's, skills and talents or whatever it's called. but in my experience I like to chance those during the game, just to see what other options there are. For me it's a option to make sure I don't end up with a bunch of unfinished playtrough's because I don't like were my build is going, and I don't have to run through the same parts over and over again. I rather do that with a character / build I really like so I can really enjoy the game how it is at it's best for me.

(Little bit off topic)

I also hope there is some kind of mirror of transformations within the stronghold/base so I could change the way my inq. looks during the game. I like to tweak my characters a bit during a playthrough. Or, if I get bored with how my character looks, change the appearance completely.

I don't like to respec for the RP reasons mentioned, but I also really want maximum control over what skills and talents my party-members have.

So, if I can't assign them all feom scratch (that means nothing pre-assigned, not even at level 1), then I'll respec to fix that.

the only thing you probably won't get the chance to change at all is your specialization.

Again, if it is a game I have PURCHASED, I will respec all I want, at will.

It's cool if someone guesses correctly at the onset.

But as an aside, there is not one amongst you, who if given the chance would want to have one RL "Do-Over", not  a single one.

RP is not living with mistakes made, that's RL.

"Mods Make the Difference" (Formerly Yuni "LOCKDOWN  ! sticks it deep).

I'm sure you will be able to re-spec (probably as DLC, honestly). If not, don't worry, I'm sure someone will create a mod or save editor to allow you to do it.
