well im not sure on which class to use on ME2, i played through the first one as a soldier but i feel like i only did it because it was the obviouse option. So should i continue as a soldier or do the other classes play better?

I see. I'd recommend a class with Biotics in that case.
Adept in particular. I find lift / throwing / singularity-ing enemies to be hella fun

Personally I never liked the Soldier from ME1. Just shooting didn't really appeal to me.
Anything with Biotics often goes under the "fun" category but the main difference is "do you enjoy charging blindly?"
If yes, take Soldier/Vanguard.
If no, take one of the other four.
