Do you think it's possible that our Advisors can die?

Not really?
Maybe at the end , they can die.
But since they are tied to important game mechanics , I suppose they have plot armor and won't leave .

It seems unlikely. Most likely they will just end up in terrible situations (tortured Lelianna comes to mind). They seem pretty serious about forcing those 3 advisors on you. I like them okay, don't take what I'm saying the wrong way, but yeah... Games that are billed as being about choice have an awful lot of things tied down out of your hands. Oh well!

I don't recall reading anything about it being possible. I can see it happening towards the end, though, depending on your choices.

I think just like in all DA games there is a chance for them to die yes if you make the kind of decisions that will get them killed...but you also have a chance to keep them alive as well, depends on the decisions you make in the game.

I think at some point they'll be killable, but unlike the companions they seem to be part of the Inquisition before the Inquisitor joins, so we'll be stuck with them for awhile. It's a little annoying that 2/3 advisors are people that we're already familiar with and might already dislike them but we're forced to keep them around for 100+ hours.

I hope so because if your actions and inactions when it comes to decisions you make ultimately leads to everyone surviving anyway, then the reward-feeling is gone.
Aeris dying in FF7 is still the most emotional gaming moment for me and Ive played minimum 300+ games in my 20 years of gaming. The feeling of loss and the desire for justice and/or revenge are strong human emotions, and any good roleplaying game should utilize these.
And no Im not talking about Arnold Schwartzenegger from commando entering a interdimensional portal and killing all your companions and advisors in the wartable room by firing an M60 before you arrive for maximum shock value with no options (though Aeris's death was scripted), but rather the possibility of companion and advisor death based on a logical outcome of your actions/inactions.
If you can play through DA:I and all companions and advisors lives nomatter what, then from a story perspective the game has failed in my book. Not because I want them to die but because everyone making it through is so unlikely that even for a fantasy fiction it is simply going too far in the "Hollywood" ending direction.
The whole point of feeling sad about a character is that you dont want them to die, and the whole point of having freedom of choice and options is that you can prevent such things from happening - but not always.

I would guess that they aren't, since they seem to be a crucial part of DA:I's gameplay. If they can die at all, it probably wouldn't be until the very end of the game.

At the end of the game, possibly.

Lelianna will never die. She is immortal.

Considering it a next gen bioware game, I would be surprised if no one dies.
Perhaps that is just my philosophy that everyone should be killable in any rpg.
Lelianna will never die. She is immortal.
But seriously, what if leliana gets captured and you don't bother to go and rescue her?

If the statement that the game actually continues after you defeat the final boss is true (not assumed to be before like many games do), then I doubt that the Inquisitor or any of the advisors can die, since in theory we can do advisor missions in postgame.

I doubt it. While companions seem to be very important, it looks like Advisers are actually critical for the plot. Killing one off means a ton of writing and contingency effects that would take tons of work, I doubt Bioware wanted to do all that extra work just to make 3 additional characters killable, we can already kill thousands, so no need to push it lol.

I get the impression Bioware doesn't like to have "right" and "wrong" choices - and I think having an adviser die because you sent a diplomat on a quest it was better to send a spy on, would imply there is a right and a wrong way to run your inquisition.
I think the only way advisers would die during the game is if you asked them to do something that you knew would probably cost them their lives - and I would think that would be likely to happen closer to the end of the game; or, if they went the ME2 route, and you just didn't even try during the whole game, and thus advisers died as a result.

But seriously, what if leliana gets captured and you don't bother to go and rescue her?
Then the plot will grind to a complete halt until you do.

I suspect they can die at the end or at the final suicide mission, in case you pick the wrong decision, or your Inquisition's force is not strong enough and you never complete their personal mission for them. I'm I the only one who gets Mass Effect 2 vibe here? ![]()

I don't think they can during majority of game but maybe everyone can die at end? If I remember right there is chance of "bad ending" where demons win and that might not be healthy for your crew.

cullen wont die, no matter how much i want him to.... Bioware is already on high alert for fanboy and fangirl arsonists who are pissed off about romances, angering the cullenites would not be wise at this point.
leliana cant die, we already tried that
josephine wont die, she will use her political skills to gain sanctuary with the demons if we screw up

Probably not because in the majority of cases they are working behind the scenes and what it will effect will be your status/resources in the field. So if you send the "wrong" person and things don't work out, you will have lost that sphere of influence but they will still survive.
In the case of the trailer we saw, I believe the Dev said that not everyone will see that anyway because it depends on earlier decisions you have made. However, I think you probably have to rescue Leliana for that storyline to proceed. If there is an option to just leave her there, then presumably you would no longer have the option to use the spy network since you have effectively abandoned your spy master. Alternatively, since she can apparently overpower the guard anyway, the game would assume she has done that off screen and she will simply turn up later, probably extremely p****** with the Inquisitor for leaving her there.
Apart from the demons win scenario, I think it likely that your advisors have a degree of plot armour and cannot be killed, even if you go out of your way to engineer it.
