Hi, I am having trouble getting surround sound working for Mass Effect on my PC. It's Windows 7 64-bit with an Asus Xonar HDAV 1.3 card outputting 7.1 via HDMI to my receiver. The game will only run in stereo. I have DS3D GX 2.0 on, and only the speaker device activated, all other devices are deactivated. I have tried all the ini tweaks on the internet to no result. The log detects my device as Asus Xonar Speakers but lists the driver as Generic Software. I have tried to output mass effect as dolby digital live via s/pdif but this doesn't work either. I have also tried using the ati hdmi audio driver, once again just stereo. I can't delete bioengine.ini either to reset it as the game simply hangs to a black screen (have to ctrl+alt+delete my way back to the desktop) and i have to reinstall it and use the configuration utility to be able to launch the game again. Does anyone know how to get surround sound working?

My specs are:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Intel Core i7 850
ATI HD 5870
8GB RAM
Raid 0 2x 1tb hdd
Asus Xonar HDAV 1.3

Thanks.
