I have seen vids of warriors who use axes, maces, and other awesome items. What are rogues going to get other than daggers can they dual wield swords, axes, and other things?

Bow and arrow.  They cannot wield large weapons, though some daggers may be larger than others...

Actually I do recall one of the Devs saying something to the effect of "daggers and other melee weapons" in reference to Rogues during the IGN Gamescom demo.
Although I could be misremembering that or misinterpreting the meaning.

Yeah, I really dislike daggers on rogues as the melee weapon choice as well.

 

Now give me a good rapier, a scimitar, maybe a spiked chain or a whip. Maybe even a spear, if wielded gracefully and acrobatically enough would fit thematically with rogues.

 

But double daggers and bows? Crap.

I hope this doesn't refer to those goofy curved blades from DA2 (not sure what they are called).  Maybe two small sickles would be nice.  That would require different, slash-based animations, but you never know...

I'd love a pair of axes for my Dwarf, personally.
And a spear with a fighting style like Oberyn Martell's (although I really, really don't think that will happen).

Paired hand axes would be cool.  Especially for dwarf rogues

Weapons now have sexual orientations. Did you see that longsword? It was the bisexualist weapon EVAH!

 

on topic, I imagine it will be similar to DAO, in that you can dual wield any one handed weapon, or any one handed wep + a dagger.

I hope we can dual wield a sword and dagger combo in this game, that's what I mainly used in DAO as a rogue.

In DA2 you could equip small axes on rogues too.

I know that Rogues won't be able to use Warrior weapons at all. Some of the daggers will look like short swords though.

What I would love to see, is to just disregard weapons entirely, and just run around splashing vials of poison on everyones face.
