I tweeted at Mike Laidlaw a direct question about Rogues and blunt weapons. Perhaps we'll get a response.
I know you most likely mean maces when you're talking about blunt weapons, but Eskrima Sticks would be awesome dual-wielding weapons for a rogue.
So the new wishlist is:
Franciscas
Scimitars
Kali Sticks
and Maces (for the people that want them)
You hear BW? Make it happen.

A baton is essentially a police truncheon and is plenty light and fast to work as a dual weapon, although whether the devs see it that way is anyone's guess.

Only daggers, could be great if developer's one day looked beyong knives and daggers for stealth people.

I'd love to see a few sickle options...
Oooh, those are so pretty!
I also love this one:

I've always thought the distinction between warriors and rogues was speed, light movements, sneakiness, and deft hands. Light armour, easily concealable weapons that can't be detected until you've made the killing blow and gotten away.
Whereas warriors are strong and ostentatious, having the ability to smote their enemies in one blow. Heavy armour, line blocker body, stength, and the swagger and bravery to stride on the battlefield with no concern for your enemies.
That's also how I thought DA:O portrayed the two classes. Am I totally wrong in my distinctions?

Ooh, those look like small scimitars! I want.
Didn't the combat q&a mention in passing that there are different combat animations for 1- and 2-edged weapons? I can't wait to see what they're talking about. Both the sickles KS showed and hand axes might fit there...

It looks like it's just daggers.

I haven't read the thread. No Rapiers? I wonder why this wasn't more of a priority.

To save you the thread, DA:O mostly went with a slight modification of Dungeons and Dragons, where rogues were skill specialists. In DA:O, rogues had extra skill points and unique lockpicking abilities, plus D&D-esque sneak attack bonuses (backstabbing in DA:O). Then skills and backstabbing got punted in DA2, and rogues co-opted two weapon styles to find a new role (single-target DPS) grown from the consequence of backstabbing in DA:O. That's largely how you got rogues as they are, and by my reckoning, why it's time to retire them.

Especially given Duelist from DA:O. As a fencer myself, I'd totally love to use a single smallsword as a mage, wielding magic with the offhand.

They also got a number of utility and threat management skills in DA2, however. I still prefer that to being skill monkeys, albeit I miss backstabs.

I'd love a pair of axes for my Dwarf, personally.
And a spear with a fighting style like Oberyn Martell's (although I really, really don't think that will happen).
Don't forget a helmet.

Psh, Slingshots! Who would take the mighty inquisitor seriously if you used a childish weapon like a slingshot?!
Now normal good ol fashion Slings! Those would knock you the F**k out
Inquisitor uses daggers and it doesn't makes it a hobbit,,, if we go for this slingshots must be another option for rogues

So rogues are only able to hold daggers or bows him their hands. Just like in DA2. The replay value just took a severe dive.
