small problem some quests that require you to fight against someone and then that someone surrendering, but i end killing them without any cutscene or new dialogue. i've had this problem now with batha in highcliff at act3 and light of heavens at port last also in act3. so can someone please tell that there is some kind of fix

ps. i have already tried to load from earlier save and still nothing

actually nevermind about batha i found a console command on forums to get around the issue , now i just need light of heaven fix

re. LoH

She seems to be buggy if her challenges aren't met in a certain order

well atleast she doesn't die anymore, unfortunately it doesn't really help me start the conversation with her because she never actually loses the fight

According to her script, she's supposed to run the SurrenderToEnemies() function when either her or the PC's hit points are equal to 1.  She's also supposed to start the fight immortal, and the player is supposed to be set to immortal during the fight as well.  If she was dying, and setting her immortal stopped that, then who knows what else isn't working right there?  Does the immortal flag make 1 the minimum HP?  If it allows it to go to 0 but doesn't let the character die, then that script condition could be troublesome, and should be <=1 instead of just =1.

The way her dialogue is set up, it won't go past her initial challenge unless you've accepted the challenge already and either won or lost (it uses the "Show once" setting instead of checking a variable).  And accepting the challenge makes her attack.  To advance things cleanly, you'd want to get to the point in the conversation where she says that you won, but that'd be difficult the way it's set up.

then I think your game is spawning an incorrect 'edition' of LoH. somehow,

what's in \Override? specifically, try a search for filename "31_light.utc"

( because she should spawn as Immortal, and a script in her UserDefined event slot should make her stop fighting at 1hp -- those are both defined right in the .UTC itself )

Try talking to her without any combat, what does she say, anything?

---
These might work if you run them and just talk to her, instead of combat:

rs ga_local_int("fought_light", "1", "2200_port_llast")
rs ga_global_int("blocked", "0")
rs ga_global_int("bRejectedLight", "0")

rs ga_start_convo("31_light", "gl_light", 0, 0, 1, 1)

- if she starts talking, what does she say?

Tchos: Immortal flag stops damage @ 1hp (exactly)

Perhaps you can abort the conversation with the escape key after she's shown her initial line.  There are no conditions on it, so it'll always display first, regardless of whether you set those variables kevL listed.

No, I just checked, and the "Multiplayer cutscene" property is set, so you won't be able to abort the conversation that way.

I'm just waiting to see if the battle can be completed properly, before moving on to the conversation.
