So thia is an indie game where you play as the watchman at a animatronic (this is correct?) playground, think of the weeping angels in Dr Who, under watch they don't move, however they do move when you are not looking.

Gameplay wise, you just stand in a security room watching camera feeds and you got to survive to 6am, I'm not sure if you can run around and explore.

Its incredibly tense cycling through the cameras to see one animatronic looking into the camera itself.

You're monitoring a bear, a duck, a rabbit I think and other animals, as the time goes by, the rabbit might move and then eventually the bear. You have to remember which animatronic is where, its very creepy when the rabbit is missing and you're searching for it, only for you to see it standing outside your office.

It is a very clever idea, albeit creepy idea.

This is an almost cruel twist on the adolescent fear of things like clowns, animatronics. I watched the video snippets from the linked article and it really is creepy to see them ... well, creep ... towards you.

Ah, a reminder that this thing exists as I'm about to call it a night.

Just what the doctor ordered.

Pretend to be sleep, they might stand next to your bed but as long you pretend to sleep, you're fine:)

Ugh. Was kind of hoping Scott Cawthon would stick to the Halloween release. Should have seen it coming.

What's so special about this series that's attracted the massive fanbase it has? There's something deeply disturbing about it too (the fanbase I mean), which I guess could be a reflection of the games.

It's so bizarre. Are the games any good and does it have really deep lore as people like to claim?

They're probably furries.

It's mostly played by kids who watched youtube videos of it. Pretty much all of my little brothers friends are playing it.

You know, there's something admirable about releasing games when they're ready. Not when some timetable demands it.

Didn't think we'd end up in an age where that was frowned upon.

I do not find the Five Night's games annoying. If anything, I'd think people should see them as at least something neat and positive, showing that you don't need to be a big triple A developer to make good games that people love. Considering its made by 1 guy and isn't subject to weird BS stuff like  Fremium Content or Psudo-Existential Crisis's I have to say its a nice change of pace from what you normally see out of the whole non-triple-A scene.

Yes and yes, I guess? It's a hit or miss. Personally, what I find great about it is that it somehow manages to hold a creepy atmosphere while being simple about it. A lot of it was made with still PS1-esque images. The lore itself is interesting if you ignore the fanbase.

Also, it's a bonus if creepy animatronics personally freak you out.

More like I personally would have preferred if he had released it in October, not that the developer is worse than Vlad the Impaler for doing otherwise. The time would have been fitting and FNaF3 would be scraped from my memory. Guess I'll just ignore it.

I was thinking more this:

But yeah, there's a fair share of Furries who are in the FNAF fanbase.

The guy is milking his game harder than Activision milked Guitar Hero.

Might sound lame, but I'm happy that I never played any of it. Hell why should I? Plenty of youtube videos out there with letsplay.

Elder's react to Five Nights at Freddie's was the best. None of them really got scared or gave a ****, and complained about how it wasn't a game.

Youtube comments basically shows the vast age gap between them, as I imagine it's only kids that would think its scary and they thought the elders would get "heart attacks".
