The Dwarves are part of a family that's at the heart of a crime syndicate?
We'd better be able to leave decapitated nug heads in people's beds.
Humans get a bonus ability point... that sounds very tempting.
Very DnDish. Although if that is a skill (non-combat) point it is worth a bit less (imo) than an extra combat ability. But that's kind of the problem with Pathfinder, humans extra feat makes them the best choice for pretty much any class (and a floating +2 to any stat).
As a human mage I was after the Templars. That sucks. I always sided with them in DA2 as a mage. I will have to rectify that
Better than Ferelden for the third time in a row.
I guess. I really didn't expect it, though.
Qunari - Mercenaries
Qunari Mage - Rogue Mage
Elf - Dalish Warrior
Elf Mage - First to a clan
Dwarf - Carta thug
Human - Youngest Son of minor nobility (I hope minor)
Human Mage - Same, but circle mage.
They got all their bases covered, except for the human barbarian origin we've (I've) always wanted.

I see it as we didn't have a choice. The Templars weren't taking prisoners and we were forced to flee. Hopefully we'll get some dialogue in the intro to inform our actions at that time.
Aggressive - I killed a few of the Templar bastards on my way out, and I'm not afraid to do it again!
Peaceful - I fought the Templars, but my only goal was to escape with my life. I may have killed one, but I didn't have time to check, it was pure chaos.

Extra Heresy.
*ahem*
Love them all except for the elves.

No same-sex romance for female qunari it seems.
Sera: *sees those claws*
Sera: *runs screaming*
Where are you seeing the bonus? I don't see any mention of race bonuses upon selection.
Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. I'm really hoping that it's a non-combat skill. Otherwise, there will have to be modding or console commanding to...adjust this.
Especially since human is probably going to be my last playthrough character, if ever.
If there is MP then I see this as a problem (50 health sounds like a lot, but an extra ability could be the difference between ok build and awesome build available only to humans). But in SP it doesn't much matter to me, human will be my first play through, but I won't get back to it until my 5th play through or so. (I may want to do Qunari mage and Qunari warrior back-to-back). But it does seem like it could end up making humans the out and out best race (as in Pathfinder).
OH MY GOOD LORD, The symbol used for the Humans is the glorious banner of the Tevinter Imperium, now I am pleased.

I will be playing as a evil mage, I would add some evil dialogue
evil - I was fighting the templars and decided to say **** it and I burnt the whole circle to the ground with all the mages and Templars inside. I was the only one that survived. Hahahaha ![]()
We got confirmation that elven mages are indeed the "First" of the clan and apprentice to the Keeper. As I thought, elven mages usually end up as Firsts and later Keepers.

It's part of the main description text. Last sentence.
aww.. seems like the rogue and warrior classes end up having the same backgrounds again, i was hoping for some sort of variation due to the nature of the 2 classes.
I wonder if the Vashoth Inquisitor's mercenary company is particularly well-known to Iron Bull's company.
SWEET.
Although I am sorely tempted by that extra ability point even if I want to play an Elf mage first.

Now I really can't decide what to be for my first playthrough. The human background is more interesting than I thought it would be.
If you're a mage it's like Hawke, but backwards.
have enjoyed a life of privilege - Human noble
Lol.. Maybe Human characters will start off with a little extra money or maybe somewhat expansive armors and weapons.
As for the Qunari, I hoped there will be a chance in the games to make him/her a Qun believer. It would be interesting.
OH MY GOOD LORD, The symbol used for the Humans is the glorious banner of the Tevinter Imperium, now I am pleased.
Only know how to be one way, that's the dragon.
It's part of the main description text. Last sentence.
Uh... No it's not. The main description just says (Qunari) "The Qunari are a race of horned giants who follow a strict religious..." and that's all. Clicking it just lowers the page to class selection and doesn't expand to the rest, and the description once you've selected race and class where you see a big picture of them doesn't show any class info.
So something is wrong here, and I can't see any of the gameplay info.
