Yeah, the only browser I've tried that reliably works with all of it is Chrome. (Safari and Firefox got pieces of it).
Maybe need some more testing before they pushed it out, lol. On the other hand we need that info now!
Elven Mage
Enslaved long ago by humans, most elves still live as second-class citizens within human cities. Elves who reject this life are known as the Dalish: nomadic wanderers who strive to keep the ancient elven religion and traditions alive. You grew up in the wilderness, a member of the Lavellan Dalish clan and apprentice to its leader and guide, the Keeper. The clan wandered the northern Free Marches, and you had little need to interact with humans—until the Keeper sent you to the Chantry's conclave as a spy. What happened there, she said, would impact not only the Dalish but indeed all elves. She could not have known how right she was.
Interesting that Lavellan is also the Dalish Inquistitor's last name. I assume then we would descend from the founders of the clan...
interesting......
so, even as an Elf, you're kind of like the "noble family" of the clan??
To be fair, even a 2nd generation city elf import as the First would still be the 'nobility' of the clan, as he would one day lead it.
interesting......

That's my impression...
We won't know the usefulness of the different traits until after playing the game. I think the Qunari boost is probably very useful in your first few hours and then probably gets less useful as the game goes on. The Elf boost seems like it would be great though. This seems to be a game where you can use tanks at choke points to cut off melee attackers so having extra defense against range bombers that might shoot arrows around your tank could be a nice benefit. We shall see. Regardless I'm still starting with my male qunari rogue. I'm just hoping really really hard that he can romance Cassandra. PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE don't race gate her Bioware.

I'm not positive on this, but I think it's possible that elves don't have last names the way we think of them. Dalish might all use the clan name to refer to themselves.

She looks so friggin awesome, doe. Definitely sold on a female Qunari my first run.
Why does she look like chris bosh?

That has definitely not been true in previous games...

Sorry it's not working for you. But the descriptions have been listed here so it's not like you're missing out on the content. Hopefully it will be corrected sometime this week. It's not like they announced the changes.

No? We've never been told a last name of any Dalish in the series so far.

Unless Dalish surnames only serve to indicate which clan they are with. Then every member of the clan would have the same surname.
Well, the Dalish Warden was Mahariel and he/she was in Sabrae clan, not Mahariel clan.

As Snook said, Mahariel was the last name of the Dalish Inquisitor err, Warden of the Sabrae Clan and whose father was the Keeper before Merethari...

what does the DA lore say about Dalish surnames?
Not enough to draw any conclusions, unfortunately... we don't really have any examples of last names from the lore or any of the in-game chars other than the PCs.

Pretty sure he and his sister were both city elves, according to the preview of The Last Flight. Not enough to draw any conclusions, unfortunately... we don't even have Garahel's surname, and he defeated the Archdemon in the 4th Blight (supposedly solo, but that may be a legend).

Hrungr, I think you mean Warden, not Inquisitor.
Thanks, it's been a long day - Fixed!

Uh, yeah, that's why I edited the post, but you caught my error before I could do it... ![]()
