OP has a listing where people are busy recommending unreleased games, unreleased games made for last gen and unreleased games released 10 years back. ;O

 

For optimal experience with your yet to be bought New console, I'd like to humbly suggest you to consider the  following checklist.

Buy your PS4(or Xbone if you must I guess) when 4 out of 4 conditions are met. 

 

 Hold off your purchase til  suggestions in threads such as this are mostly..

A) ...Games that have actually  been played by the people recommending them(See B  )

B ) ...Games that have actually been released.(See A)

C) ...Not games made 10 years ago.

D) ...Games that have actually been designed with NewGen consoles in mind. ( Confused about this? Here is an additional tip: Pick up a measuring tape. Check home site of the game. Measure the length of the rap sheet following text " Available on.." Is it  12cm or less? Your game is for NewGen, go wild Johnny!!! 15-30cm? Your game has been designed for LastGen, cupcake! Stick to your PS3! )

okay I'm crazy for asking this, but am I crazy for buying X1 first and PS4 later?

cuz I want to play on both systems alongside my PS3 and 360.

my money goal would be $2000 which is enough to buy X1 and PS4 together, but I'm doing it to get HDTV replacement and X1, few games as well.

Ignore that thing about "games made ten years ago". That's bias. There's a reason people are all over the Halo MCC, and with great reason-

Personally, I would suggest holding on both until they have a better game line-up and have been thoroughly beta-tested. If you don't want to wait, however, then buy the one that has the most games/features you want at this time.

When would you say each(X1, PS4) has been thoroughly beta-tested? My stepbrothers and I joked about being beta-testers for the consoles since we were Day One adopters.

Well, waiting for 2nd gen release could be an option. Alternatively, you could give it another year.

Hmm, I can agree with that if someone decided to wait.

 

I can't ask my stepbrothers about the PS4 right now(its early in the morn) but the outlook on the Xbox One is mighty positive from me.

 

The upgrades, constant updates(nowhere to go but up, lolololol), the free games, the releases to come later, etc etc. All looking good. And no issues hardware wise yet.

just to update this, it'll be pretty late. I just heard that money should arrive in October. so I have no idea when on the date in October. but in meantime I'm still rebuilding my money at home. it took awhile but I'm holding steady at $21.39 and growing. it'll be back at $79.50 then up to my goal: $2,000
