So qunari can't wear helmets though? How will my qunari guy be ICONIC without the dragon helmet?

The horns need to be toned down methinks.  Looks less like a qunari and more like Satan. 

Now I want them to have a red coloured skin option or war paint.

I think he looks good. Far prettier than Shrek. But you guys are gonna get to customize him, so I don't think there's much need to worry about the default appearance if you don't like it.

The eyes are weird. The female version of this picture has it too. Other than that he looks alright. I still don't really get the odd face paint they've added for Qunari.

That's not the point. The point is what the hell is the default Qunari skin texture?  If it's this texture it's pretty terrible.  It's like a 3D render and someone forgot the texture.

Don't worry. The quality of all those models are very poor.

He looks kind of silly as a rogue or a mage (like a person holding those mini-cola cans (do they still make those?)). Other than that, looks like your standard, huge, muscle-junky, beast-man. So, that's what I expected of him. I hope we get more detail on their skin. I thought Qunari had metallic-like skin?

That guy is an over 6 foot tall muscular human man and he is one of the stealthiest characters in fiction. 

 

 
So the premise that a huge muscular man cannot be stealthy and roguish is invalid. Cause' Batman. Or Qunbat. Or Batqun.

The models are extremely poor. The shield obscures a lot, helmets neatly hide the fact that all the hair will probably look bad and the eyes have no life in them. The "iconic" dragon helmet hides too much of the face. For me it's an overdone attempt at Skyrim-like helmet which partially worked because of the simplicity of the design.

 

I don't like what they did with Qunari face. It does look Shrek-ish, while Qunari design was one of the very few things I enjoyed in DA2.

So multiple people have said he looks like Shrek. I seriously don't see it. Can someone explain? Shrek has a fat face, and a bulbous nose. Am I thinking too literally or is there some other Shrek-y aspect? He looks like a gray Kratos to me. :L

I'm just asking because if this becomes a thing like the Solas = Nic Cage, I wanna be in on the joke this time! >:l Lol.

What are you speaking of, exactly? The face or the frame? Cause the frame looks just right to me. Just ignore the poorly crafted face.

yeah I don't get the Shrek thing either.  W/e if other people see it then fair enough.  As a qunari I don't want to look all feminine, smooth, and nice...what is that?  I want to be a BAMF that could break anyone else in half with my looks doing the talking for me.  I don't see qunari as some furry little kitten.  I see the Arishok in DA2 as the epitome of a qunari.  Hes an evil looking bad ass.

 

To me the pic doesn't look like anything or anyone.  It looks like a qunari.  Not like a cartoon character, or a dog, or another video game character....it looks like a qunari IMO.  I know you can't please everyone, but I wish more people liked this.  I guess at least I do though.

 

I do hope there are bigger and more bad ass horns though.  Those are pretty weak and plain.  I want my 6 Arishok horns.
