The dwarves of Thedas are known for their once-vast underground empire and guilds of merchants and warriors held in high esteem by the other races of Thedas. Not you. A cast-off "surfacer," unwelcome among the dwarves or most humans, you have scraped by as part of a criminal fraternity known as the Carta, smuggling magical ore known as lyrium. As part of the ruthless Cadash crime family, you spent your life on the streets of various Free Marcher city-states—until you were sent to the Chantry conclave as a spy and everything changed.

--Dwarf Rogue.

PS: Warrior says the same thing!

I am very pleased with the dwarf background! From a carta dwarf from dust town to a carta dwarf from the surface!

Brosca and Cadash FTW   :D

I think I want to play a somewhat older character, a Cadash who is a bit weary of the world. less funny/sarcastic and more pragmatic and to the point, but rarely actually aggressive since she's learned being angry really only works when you are threatening a coward, and half of it is for show. She is dangerous, but that's her Job and she treats it like that. As an individual, she is laid back and a little too rough around the edges but has a heart when she can afford to.

As far as her family, she really thinks of them as very close co-workers. Very close co-Workers that would kill her in a second, and to be honest, she would have to kill if asked. Add to that sibling rivalry, family favorites, and that you know everything about each other and, well you have the Cadash family.

Most likely party:

Iron Bull- Because they are very similar in some ways, and thinks she can understand him most of the time, except for the Qun, which if explained philosophically does admit it has some merit, except all the times it goes way too far.

Sera- Also the type of person she understands, reminds her of lots of friends she used to have, who could afford some sort of idealism.

Vivienne- They aren't similar but Cadash feels out of the mages that joined her, she knows the most fundamentally about magic, which as a dwarf she knows nothing about. When it comes to magic she needs a mage that really understands it, and will let Vivienne handle it. Which means whatever Vivienne's viewpoint on mages/Templars is going to be law, because Cadash has no intent learning from the ground up.
