But why would she be with Orlesian Warden?
And if he is an OW, isn't he a bit too young for Warden Commander rank +10 years after Awakening?

Why would she be with THE Warden?
He doesn't even look like Alistair. Or Carver. Or Anders. Or any other ridiculous theories going around.
It's says Hawke. But there is already FemHawke, which means the other one must be another Hawke. And since FemHawke is mage, then that must be Carver Hawke who's a Warden and must've bleached his hair.
Makes sense.
When he said "That is Hawke" he was just confirming that that was FemHawke in the trailer, he wasnt saying that the Warden in the trailer was a Hawke.
It's too young for Alistair and too blond for Carver. I'm going with Orlesian warden.
This. If it's Alistair, he hasn't aged one bit in 10 years... in fact, he seems to have gotten younger. I wanna know his secrets! And I don't think it looks like any Carver design possible, either.
That can't be Carver. He got smashed by an ogre. ![]()

Why would Hawke be with the wardens at all, unless Hawke joined them and survived the ritual.
I feel like Alistair would be wearing heavier armor than that and that is my biggest problem with it being Alistair. Dragon Age characters don't really age anyway, which I don't mind much.
I dunno, I think both Cullen and Morrigan have aged pretty accurately. I think if it were Alistair, they would have at least attempted to age him enough so that he doesn't look 20, the guy in this picture just looks extremely young. I agree about the armor though.
Why would she be with THE Warden?
Exactly!
Looks similar to comic book Alistair too me:

Really?
Alistair haves spiky hair in the front, and that guy seems to have the same style as Cullen. Not to mention he is wearing rogue armor, and we all know Alistair is an warrior. So I doubt it's him.
I still think he is most likely the Orlesian warden from the default canon (in wich Mahariel is dead). It makes more sense then having an random warden follow Hawke and the Inquisitor in this apparently epic battle were all previous protagonists meet up. It kinds of kill the mood of the scene, you know?

Impossible, he looks nothing like Orlesian Warden at all, because the lacks of fabulousness . This is how every Orlesian Warden supposed to look like.

Red herring. They're not lying when they say that isn't "the Warden", because it's the Orlesian Warden-Commander. However, I bet if the Warden was alive in your playthrough then your Warden WILL be beside Hawke.
The question isn't why is Hawke with whoever this particular warden is. The question is why is this particular warden with Hawke and the Inquisitor, about to face off against a horrific spider demon.
That can't be Carver. He got smashed by an ogre.
Seems pretty alive to me. His sister on the other hand... ![]()

If it's Alistair I quit. Nothing against Gaider's Golden Boy, but isn't it enough that he's the Warden's proxy (and King) in the EU?

What if you execute him at the Landsmeet, and he's magically resurrected just like Leliana because he's a Gaider's favorite?

It isn't like it's gonna override your canon, anyway I doubt it's Alistair because if the trailer was based on Bioware's default canon then he wouldn't really be wearing Grey Warden armor since he's King
I would have thought if it was Alistair they would be more open about it, considering they didn't hide Leliana, Morrigan or Cullen.
The presence of Hawke could be misleading, without Hawke he is just a blonde Grey Warden.
If it isn't "Random Warden #17", could it be Bevin?
I like this theory. He doesn't appear to be holding the Green Blade though, but that might not mean anything.

Don't forget that returning the Green Blade is optional, and that epilogue did not imply that he joins the Grey Warden only that he become an adventurer. Not to mention if what we have seen in the trailer happens during the climax point of the story it's sloppy to add some "random warden" or "minor nps most people likely to forget their names".
I still believe the Orlesian Warden Commander theory is the likely one.

But isn't returning the Green Blade the only way for him to become an adventurer?
To be clear though, I meant like as in I thought it was an interesting alternative. I suspect it is either the Warden Commander or another place holder Warden who fills in for an absent Hero of Ferelden.
