Is that a random Grey Warden or Alistair?

Has there ever been any confirmation on what class the official Orlesian warden was?

Sadly, I don't think so. But if they ever say it's an human rogue I will have no doubts it's the guy in the trailer.

Let's assume for a second that the Inquisitor on DA:I's cover is the canon or default...

He or she is clearly a Warrior.

We know default Hawke is a Mage irregardless of gender.

That leaves out the Rogue.

I, personally, would have (and will in the Keep) changed the Warden's and Inquistor's roles if all these assumptions happen to be right.

Was the dalish warden a rogue? Because that's Bioware's canon.

Sounds plausible if they went that route.

My money is on it being the Orlesian Warden from Awakening in a world where the Warden from Origins is dead.

That is in no doubt an rogue warden.

Not sure if that can be concluded, since rogue warden would be dual-wielding daggers, not running around with a single long sword. On the other hand you'd expect warrior warden to carry a shield, either in off-hand or on his back. So in the end that seems like that cutscene simply isn't too concerned with equipment accuracy. (also, it's not like warriors can't wear lighter armours -- when you meet Alistair first he's in splintmail)

Dalish warden dies in Origins, which leaves Avakening with new character.

Kinda liking the idea that he's a stand in for Hawke love interest. At least that way I don't have to worry about them never seeing each other again like I do with The Warden and Leliana.

If it's that or the Orlesian Warden-Commander(and by extention, MY Warden in my playthrough), then I will be a very happy bunny either way.
