Let's get this discussion going. What do you want to see in the season finale?
My list, in no particular order:
- Korrasami. If only...
- Bolin is able to metal/lava bend.
- Korra speaks to Guru Laghima in the Spirit World and learns more about his philosophy.
- Some backstory on our fearless foursome.
- Zuko returns and kicks ass (possibly with his daughter).
- Iroh shows up with Republic Forces and kicks ass as well.
- Korra reconnects with her past lives.
- Toph shows up and kicks ass (maybe even teaches Bolin?)
- Tenzin is still alive.
- Korra energybends and possibly even takes away the foursome's bending.
Of course, this list is highly optimistic. Can you imagine if we actually had 4, 5, and 7? It'd be overkill, Zaheer wouldn't stand a chance! And if they're going for a darker tone, well, Korra might ultimately join Zaheer. The latter is doubtful since, so far, all seasons have been self-contained. I've given up on the writers somehow managing to tie up the loose ends from the "spirits on our world" plotline since this late in the game it would only feel rushed.
I'll also share a battle plan I came up with to rescue the airbenders and defeat Zaheer but I have to write it down first.
