Do you guys think we will have personal quests for the Inquisitor depending on our race/class choices, similar to Shepard depending on their background in Mass effect? Like an mage Inquisitor having to deal with their deatached family, or the Cadash family coming back to haunt you for leaving the bussiness and etc?
Inquisitor personal quests

I really hope so, I'm hoping to see my Human Inquisitor's siblings like in DA2 with Bethany and Carver. Since the Inquisitor is the youngest of the Trevelyan family, I would like to see conflict among the family. Though, knowing that Mass effect there were personal quests and Origins+DA2, I'm sure there will be some insight about your character's origin in Inquisition.

I really hope it won't be similar to Mass Effect, in the sense, that I hope it won't be as miniscule and pointless as the former felt. I don't mind quests, related to ones background, but I feel that wouldn't be enough to flesh out a sense of identity for each origin.

I feel like the whole "magical green hand" thing will be (a huge part of) the Inquisitor's personal quest.

Ugh... I just realized that the Dalish probably won't be too happy when they find out that the humans are calling you "Herald of Andraste..."
Not looking forward to having to explain that.

Or if the Carta is gonna try to call in favors and remind me who I really answer to now that I've become head of the Inquisition.
Or if my mercenary pals take up a new job guarding an irreconcilable enemy of the Inquisition.
A lot of cool things could happen with these backgrounds if they want to explore them...

It strikes me that one potentially cool way they could do this sort of thing would be to have your "home organization" (and everyone has one--either your family for Human, your Clan for the Elves, The Carta for the Dwarf, or your mercenary company for the Qunari) periodically demand updates--and you get to pick how you update them. This could serve two purposes:
1. Your "home organization" could either offer you assistance or interfere with you at various stages.
2. This would be an opportunity for the Inquisitor to frame an expression of what he/she THINKS about what's been going on.
So, it'd be less "I'm Dalish so I get a special Dales-related side quest" and more:
"Hey, Inquisitor, some elf person is waiting outside the gates. Says they know you and won't leave without talking to you."
"What are you . . . oh. Hi Cousin Ned."
"Your mom is worried about you."
"I'm fine."
"That's not what we've heard."
"I'm fine."
"Right. Anyway, the Keeper says that if you don't do something about all these refugees flooding our forest, he's going to start ordering the hunters to shoot on sight. Just thought you'd like to know."
"Well THANK you."
Or:
"Honey, we heard about the explosion, are you all right?"
"I'm fine!"
"Do you need money?! Where are you staying?! Are you eating okay? Do you want me to send Marta down with some supplies?"
"MOM I'M FINE!!!!!"
"Do you have enough warm clothing? I could knit you another blanket no problem . . ."
"MOM!!!"

Or something like this:
Quest: Brownies
Dwarf Version: These brownies are laced with lyrium. Sell them.
Human Version: The Iron Bull ate all the brownies your mom sent you. Get a message to Mom telling her to send more, and also those cookies that are "shaped like the Maker" with the red-hots on them.
Elf Version: Someone keeps intercepting your brownies as contraband.
Qunari Version: Your bros just came back from a nasty mission. Make them some brownies to remind them how awesome you are.

I hope so. I mean, a Dalish and Dwarf inquisitor would also have to report back since they're spies, right?

Except the people they were supposed to be spying on kind of got blown up. Can you spy on yourself?

Also, I'd love it if they let you conduct your "updates" in the style of most PC's in pen and paper games:
"Well, I got the meeting thing and this one lady gave this big speech about unity or some jazz and then everything blew up and there was this green place with some guy talking a bunch and then I woke up and this armor chick starts yelling at me so I told HER off and then we had to go to the place to get the thing so we could go to the other place and find the castle and get the ship (which we needed to go to the castle I think, I wasn't really paying attention) and then I got bit by a sea monster and all these people showed up and started talking about how I'm the Inquisitor now and we need to fight the Venatori so we're doing that now I guess."
Proper nouns? WHAT proper nouns?
Although a proper pnp PC would be more likely to call the Venatori the "Veterinarians" or possibly the "Venus Fly Trap".

Yeah, but they'd still need to report back. I mean I can imagine a dwarf in the carta just not returning to them, but the dalish are like a big family so them not even returning to tell them they have to be the inquisitor doesn't really fit.

So a thought cross my mind...with the backgrounds we know with the Inquisitor, depending on their race and class, I have been trying to think of how a potential personal quest can form. I know with my Human Mage, I would actually like to see some confrontation with his/her Templar family members. For example, let's say Trevelyan has an older brother who is a seasoned Templar. If your Trevelyan is a mage, and your brother believes in the Circle and believes that the mages need to follow the Templars, there can be a confrontation between the two where it leads to your brother either being killed or slowly realizing that his view may not be correct. Especially when it comes to the Red Templars and how they have perverted the role of the Templar. Even if your Trevelyan is a rogue or warrior, there can still be some sort of confrontation if the Trevelyan rejects his/her role to be a Templar, which was dictated by the family. If the Red Templars are involved during this quest, it could add more to it concerning the fate of the brother. Like if the Inquisitor doesn't kill him, there is a chance the Red Templars will, or even on a bigger twist, he sides with them, if the Breach caused him to snap due to grief of losing his family.

"You went full Shemlen. You never go full Shemlen."
The correct slur i think would be Flat Ears. It just hit me that Elves who stay with humans are really really disliked by the Dalish, remember what Paivel said about them, "We call them Flat Ears for they differ little from their Shemlen Masters." that's harsh man.

Dalish are snobs, they'll look down on any elf that's not Dalish.

Honestly, I hope I don't get too much background development for my Mage.
I'd like freedom to form him in my head as I want.

Inquisitor: Do I know you?

They wouldn't have gone to the Circle without being a certain age, when the magic first became apparent. Most people also recognize their family members, even after many years.

I'm actually okay with this. The one thing I felt that lack is when something personal happens to your character. With the exception of Alistair talking to you for a moment about Tamlen after you kill him...when has anyone talked with you after an event close to you happened? Like fighting with Howe and his taunt toward you and your family if you played Human Noble? Or about your choice to either spare or kill Jowan as a Mage?
One thing I hope for is a personal quest pertaining to the Inquisitor and your companions react to it and even try to help you, particularly in the aftermath.
