What is this.. I don't even... Krogan can't keep up with other races? Try telling that to the cheesemeister (aka KroSol), who can keep pace with pretty much any kit in the game.
And I doubt I get sync'd with Krogans, or no-dodge kits generally, any more than with dodge kits, since the lack of a dodge makes you be more careful than you would be otherwise (sometimes fast/great dodge kits give you sort of a false sense of security, and then you get too close and *wham*, banshee fingers/phantom sword through your solar plexus).
No. Just, no.
There is another saving grace with the Acolyte, in that if speced to one shot phantom barriers, if kept charged, if you do get grabbed you can unload on her face and break the sync
I agree, I would prefer to use something other than the toy pistol, rolled a lot of Venom and even Striker a while back (haven't used graal and claymore since back when I first played this game when there wasn't anything beyond Gold) but unfortunately the Acolyte really is the best main on Platinum.

As for melee, is it true that most krogan classes have better things to do than melee all the time? Sure. There are better tools in the arsenal of the soldier, basic sentinel, and adept. But even if barshing all of the things isn't your main strategy, krogan melee is a great asset for close combat situations, as it staggers and does decent damage even at base. My soldier isn't built around melee, but am I glad it's there? Hell yes.
I'll admit I am not a fan of the warlord sentinel, personally. I think the kroguard makes a better melee kit, and I have no issues getting synced if I'm even just a little careful.
And as for no dodge kits in general, I tend to prefer them. I just unlocked the destroyer and I've been playing it exclusively for a few days against cerberus. I've had devastator mode on 100% of the time. Haven't gotten synced once by a phantom yet. Not by an atlas either, but it's a little harder to get in that situation, obviously.

"Best" only in a practical sense, and I don't doubt it. His powers own vs. armor. Acolyte is super OP vs. barriers and shields. But if the "best" (in a practical, "how fast can I kill stuff without getting killed" sense) really mattered, we would use the Harrier and the Reegar on 99% of our kits. When I play a Krogan, I want to play a Krogan, not a pyjak- meaning, I need a shotgun, and I need to headbutt stuff. Even on Platinum. It may not be the "best" or most efficient, but its the only way to Krogan IMO.

If you play even the krogan soldier you are keeping close by using inferno nades that's it.
Ok... And? We only get 3 powers per kit (often only 2 offensive powers, i.e. Fortification/Tech Armor/Barrier etc), and so you could say this about most kits. "If you play Drell Adept you are keeping close by using cluster grenades that's it". "If you play Geth Trooper you are keeping it close by using flamer that's it". So its not saying much. Yeah, if you didn't have inferno grenades, you'd have a hard time keeping up with anybody. But you do have inferno grenades, so its a moot point, and inferno grenades, plus spicy cheese from Fortification and powerful 6+6 FE's, allow you to keep up with pretty much anyone.
And I would say that if you played with 3 guys of the same playing ability as you and they had a choice of their classes you would be left in the dust.
Yeah, I don't find that to be the case. Krogan Soldier, admittedly due largely to inferno grenades, is one of the classes easily capable of leaving others (of comparable ability but different kit) in the dust. And obviously this bit about "if you hang back to avoid syncs you can't keep up" doesn't make any sense since staying out of melee range of sync enemies doesn't mean you're not still able to shoot/Carnage/throw grenades at them.

I agree with that. Of course the Acolyte would be hyper effective on the krosol, but I also refuse to use it on a krogan (or a batarian), for role playing reasons.

Well, it's an asari weapon, so why not on asari ? The gun fits particularly well with the Justiciar, since she has Pull.

The Claymore is better than the Acolyte.
Yep. This goes without saying for true Krogan, but apparently some baby pyjaks here have been hanging out with too many space-strippers.

silly argument anyway because of the existence of lolReegar if you just want to have the most efficient setup possible.
Other krogan may point and laugh, though. along with all quarians

I want a Krogan Warlord dual-wielding two Krogan soldiers, like hammers. Both Krogan also have Claymores, of course.

True, but it is a Krogan, and thus objectively better than any semi-sentient tin can regardless of damage output.

Does this mean I am a Krogan stripper?
