He was a methodical evil playthrough.  He didn't kill Lel or drink the blood, because Eamon's survival was too politically useful at the time, and Lel was a useful toy.  He did let the demon possess the girl though.  The dalish camp was...  unique circumstances made it turn out more depraved than usual and when I was done it resembles something that was threatened to be done to me at a later date, so, yeah that one scene is one thing I'm glad cannot be in the keep.

I just destroyed the ashes after taking a pinch for myself. I didn't want some little chantry hussy following me around when I had sweet tail like Morigan. I gotta say you make me look forward to the Dalish camp!

I prefer longer hair myself, just not really a short hair fan.  I like something I have an excuse to play with.  Is another way to be close and intimate that's just not there with a short haired girl or guy, even if the guy pretends to hate it.  Plus I find longer hair prettier.  That being said, there are plenty ways to be intimate like that, and it's far from an end all be all for me.  Still I adore long hair on my partner.

@PowerXmad, Awesome!.    I seen your point, at least I think I wrote I did by saying true some do.  I find the reason behind that as clipping issues.  My latest play through I watched Wynne's right arm spin around backwards, a direction the joint shouldn't go.  I should of taken a pic of that. 

 

 

I do prefer long hair as well, but don't dislike short. I wont argue how short hair is wrong, if that same guy grew his hair out, would realize how much a pain it is to keep. Yep, I had long hair before I joined the service.   On occasion I let it get down to my shoulders, mostly thru winter season.

I had a beatles hairstyle going when I was in high school since longer hair on guys was the thing then (this was 03-06) and it was a pain even at that length, I didn't finally cut it till my senior year

So I will meet all of my companions in game, treat them graciously, and then decide after I've gotten to know them as people whether or not I'm attracted. Or, I guess rather whether Acantha is attracted.

If mods are available I only ever used them to mod my character, since my character is my vision.

Those people can stop being so insecure. The OP isn't calling everyone ugly and isn't expecting supermodels in the game. He is just saying that they don't seem as attractive as in the past games.

 

It's more that it's hardly a unique perspective and if this is your justification, it'd be uninteresting if every poster chimed in by creating a thread about what companions they did or did not find attractive.

I find Sera 100% attractive and she doesn't even like my gender lol, I like her button nose, prefer her with short hair, love her personality so far which to me a attractive personality can make anyone attractive and of course I want to hear that giggle snort.

I find personalities attractive more than bodies.  A body can be altered in different ways. Faces usually relatively same after many years, can still see who they are even if the body changed. Personality can but usually its their character, who they are, and that tends to remain.  Most times....

Complaining about how the companions don't fit one's own personal definition of attractiveness is not making it about yourself?

Well you had people saying, they are ugly as hell, do not want, this is really bad Bioware. And many folks responded, personality is what matters most to me, I prefer someone moderately attractive with a great personality than a super-model who is bland, etc. This isn't saying that people conventionally attractive are dumb, etc, it's just pointing out that attractiveness isn't really a big deal to the point you will never try to romance someone just because its appearance isn't great, your mind totally closed.

How are the two connected? I like my appearance to the point of being annoying. I don't think I'm uglier than Cass. Yet I find her good looking. I like her scar, I like her short hair and sharp features and I like that she's not full of make up because it fits her character. I think the point Bioware was trying to make with the companions appearance is that they are their own people. They're not eye candy, only there to please the audience. That said, I don't think the past DA games had more attractive LIs overall. I found Morrigan and Merrill pretty average (and I was fine with that).

No... I'm pointing out the negative stereotypes regarding conventionally attractive people. And I don't agree with those stereotypes. 

Though I also don't agree with the stereotypes that deify attractive people either. 

 

How prevalent are said negative stereotypes?  And more importantly, how impactful are they?  I mean, it's not like there's the idea that people can gain significant advantages based on their attractiveness.  Which likely fuels a lot of the jadedness that people may have for them.

 

Though I was more specifically asking for links of that sort of abuse on this forum.  I mean, yet another thread was started while I was sleeping about how ugly the love interests are.

Well if I see any further comments, I'll show you links. I mean this has been culminating over months, and I'm not the type who keeps an archive of comments that irk me. If I did that then I would go insane. 

 

Also - if you could... be on the lookout for it since you read the forums more than I do. There *is* jadedness, as you've termed. It feels ostracizing. 

 

I frequent the forums quite a bit and while I don't read every thread, I've never come across anyone being discriminatory against someone who is conventually attractive. 

 

Of course I'm not sure what is meant by conventually attractive, do you mean like film attractive where all the women are blonde and perfect and then men are muscular? T.V. attractive? advertisement attractive?

 

or do you mean people who can considered generally attractive by a society?

 

That could be any number of looks including  Vivienne, I know a number of people who have similar facial structure that I would consider to be very attractive.

So... I was looking at the romances/companions for DA:I and am i the only one that thinks that these romances aren't all that attractive?  Well I guess the male companions / romances are actually not that bad. But the female romances? Come on BioWare. Cassandra looked perfectly fine in DA:2 and now... Am i the only one thinking this? Like why is it that hard to give us an attractive female to romance?

I find all the female characters to very attractive.

Even Scout Hardings is cute. Shame she isn't a romance.

I think I have a problem with the graphic style rather than the characters, though I do have to say that I find the male LI's visually more appealing than the Female LI's.

 

Sera could be incredibly cute, but the round face + the button nose + the blemished skin and the awful hair, is just too much.

Both Josephine and Cassandra look haughty and haggard at the same time. It is also an extremely altered look for Cassandra overall.

Vivienne is probably the best looking, she's not really my type, but she has stunning skin and a much more pleasing face than the others.

 

What I find funny is that Leliana and Morrigan, who will probably both not be available as LI's look the best by far. Especially Leliana, while older and a bit more worn-down by live, is by far the most attractive female character I've seen so far.

 

Well, I guess I always had a soft spot for Leli.

 

It doesn't matter whether Bioware cares to know this or not, I just want to share my opinion.

And I definitely hope for our modding community to provide some alternative look for the LI's something that was done in abundance for both DAO and DA2.
