What, were the other eyeliner colours taken? It just all looks a little heavy-handed and football player style.

Is probably used in some way to hide certain graphic issues or such with the eyes and face interaction or something.  Sort of like a mask of sorts.  Not sure, but the prevalence of it makes me not sure if it's always really eyeliner and not something else going on.

I think it's just a women in Dragon Age thing.  Even Aveline wore eyeshadow, blush, and lipstick.

Oh and sorry all about the nun thing, as I said I was starting to get frustrated and nasty.

Reason being status quot or no, rarely have I seen any armor in games that I actually enjoy having my character in and whenever I do have the luck of finding such a gem, I out level it immediately and never see anything like it again.  This falls typically in between the skimp wear and the full body armor, and usually has aspects that have a dress like feminine quality to them rather than a harsher look and isn't just crazy amounts of flesh where some kind of glue must be involved to keep it on.

The reason I react as I do is because I've been frustrated with my options in games forever, and the current push is even further outside what I like than the other since it's based on practicality over anything else, period.  I'm just tired of never being able to have a pretty girly outfit in games where I actually make my own character for more than a level or two.  At least the other had a chance of hitting my threshold.

So I'm quite a bit bitter about armors in games, period.  My escapism is, due to my life a very serious and important thing to me, so I tend to get a bit volatile sometimes on the issue of dress.  Having an avatar I enjoy the look of is important to me in my escape from a reality where I struggle daily to just be myself and trying so hard to be accepting of what my limitations are.  Is an escape from that struggle, if even for a little while, and the harder it is for me to get near that ideal, the more it feels like my real life struggle I'm trying to get away from.

:(

My characters try to have as little noticeable blush as possible hiding the option completely if I can, as well as eyeshadow.  In somethings I think less is more.

Well luckily that won't be a problem in this game, since we can find an armor that we like the look of and recraft it with different stats.  Hopefully something in DAI will appeal to you. ^_^

Here's hoping. *crosses fingers*

Here's also hoping I don't find it at the end of the game either, lol.

I personally tone it down as well. I'm on the battlefield, where did I have time to find and put on cosmetics?

Maybe as an inquisitor I'll try adding some on and see if my qunari doesn't look like a clown.

Oooh I like your choice, much better than her original outfit (Has pants) and has some armor bits too for those who absolutely must have them.

Though really no pants are not impractical, I have no issues in say a skirt or dress, nor do I think the Scotts are hurting for wearing kilts, and are descendants of a kilt wearing warrior culture, but whatever.

Now I understand we're often used as and turned into sex objects, but that's no reason to throw away the feminine identity completely.

Oh and by the way I'd be perfectly happy with that bottom right outfit for Isabella.  Bet it's still too little for most of this crowd though.

I have no objection to attractive characters in a game.  However there should be more to their appearance than "attractive"  That's why I modded Isabela's appearance:  She stays sexy and wears an outfit that looks functional and stylish.  It emphasizes her character as a smuggler and pirate but retains her general attractiveness.

And that's why I'm generally pleased with what we have seen so far with the companions.  their outfits reflect who they are without sinking to the level of eye candy.

Attractiveness is a matter of opinion.

We haven't even met the characters in-game yet, I don't even know how I will be speaking with them and how they will be speaking with me.

Also if you're complaining about ugly, The Elephant Man movie was beautiful and even though he looked the way he did we still saw how beautiful he was. You only go on about a persons' looks if you don't know their personality.

Wait until you meet the characters OP.

It's a long shot, but it could also be an Orlesian thing.  Masks are really big especially among the nobles, but so is facial makeup.  Going around "bare faced" is supposed to be extremely gauche.

Of course, I can't imaging Sera caring abut stuff like that.

And yes, there are male and female varieties of makeup, according to WoT

In fantasy realms, appearance matters. Even Gandalf would agree.

So if I mostly have just lipstick I'll be extremely gauche?  Well :P on them then.

With the introduction of mass intrawebs millions of people discover each day this is not really true.

Isn't that what profile pictures are for, pre-judging people?

So... I was looking at the romances/companions for DA:I and am i the only one that thinks that these romances aren't all that attractive?  Well I guess the male companions / romances are actually not that bad. But the female romances? Come on BioWare. Cassandra looked perfectly fine in DA:2 and now... Am i the only one thinking this? Like why is it that hard to give us an attractive female to romance?

I think it's the other way around.  Dorian and Cassandra are more attractive than what women get.

Only want to say so far, as I was on page 12, Isabela only needed her boobs bandaged as like martial artists and such would do when had no bra's. But she would use the boob pop out to her advantage against men......it fits her personality to do so I think. Distraction with sexuality does fit her.

Iakus, those mods are fine at the bottom. They kept her who she is but in better fitted clothing. However I do detest her being blonde and white when she wasn't. She could color her hair blonde though, but doubt she would.

I agree.  Cullen looked better in DA:2.  No one is as hot as Fenris or the Arishok and the cool one, Varric is left up in the air.  I guess Josephine is sort of hot...
