Elf Assassin:I'm hoping for some leather and/or chain underarmor with some minor plating for actual protection. Probably in subdued dark browns, grays, and black.
Human Templar: Shiny plate armor, not too fancy. White with black and red trimmings.
Human Knight Enchanter: If I can get anything similar to the first and last DLC mage armors, Aldenon's vestements (blue cloth with ACTUAL TROUSERS and brown straps) I'll be very happy.
in the crafting part of that last video I believe it looked like different materials determine whether or not it is heavy/medium/light. so going off what they have said in the past, you find a template with the overall appearance you want and than use a corresponding material to decide what type of armor it is. I would like a Breast plate and coat look kind of thing no matter the class but as long as it fits the type of character I am playing it doesn't matter. obviously I am totally just gone recraft that mage outfit from the backstory descriptions as often as possible.
Any armor that looks cool on my Inquisitor.

This is how it works in our house; a house where everyone but the cat, dog and guinea pig game... and if they had opposable thumbs, I'm sure they would: I play though Vanilla. Daughter and son and spouse go through and beef-tank EVERYBODY up and tell me that I'm not playing right, then point out armor. Then... I beef-tank everybody up and slay everything in sight!
PS: Daughter mentioned that I shoulda said, heavy and fancy (light armour is for chumps), or something like that. LOL I'll see what's available and what I can craft when time comes. 
Something light because she'll be a rogue, but tough - since she's a melee rogue. A cream colour would be nice.

As a human male archer, something very similar to Sabastian's armour. Something to show he is of nobility.

thick heavy plate armor. the kind that says "oh you punched me? i didnt feel anything. oh a giant hammer? i didnt notice you hitting me with it? oh a giant fireball? i thought it was warm but really didnt feel much."
Nug skin armor with a Schmooples helm.
That, or, you know, some really glitzy plate mail.
Something good for traveling that still protects the torso. With tight pants, roguishly tight pants. The sex hat might be an option if it doesn't suddenly make the wearer bald.
@Maria Caliban: That's filthy. You should try a nice Orlesian gown with ruffles and corsets and all the fine trappings of court!

Gonna be a female elf mage with a punked out set of plate armor. Why? Because punk you that's why.
Ain't no body gonna mess with a mage clad in steel casting firestorms and blizzards.
Would probably get a bit cooked in there but it's better than having your robe set ablaze.

Heavy, light, or robes, I guess. The game forces me to do so, it seems. 1 armour type per class.

So my main char is going to be a Warrior I've decided, only cause it best fits, from a skill perspective the idea I have for a name I often use. Normally they would dual wield but nothing rogue has, outside of that, fits so Warrior it is. Now this character often wares medium armor, breastplate like thing. Easy to move in, but still armored. Though in DnD they also have a bunch of base damage reduction on the grounds of existing so 'armor class' is less important to his survival. He'll end up in heavy armor, preferably as high DR/ARmor as I can obtain though I'm hoping thats not 100% tied to visuals as I'd like to at least get some kinda coat tail on it or something.
As for other playthroughs no idea. Leathers for my archer guy. Got a playthrough where I'm gonna try and semi-recreate Annah from PST using Qunari (horns instead of tail?) and... if I could make something like Isabella's no pants outfit I'd do that in a heart beat. Other then that whatever the crap looks kewl and fits the character thematically?
Just need them to announce if Vivienne is a romance and if shes race gated against Qunari or not.... it's super important to my main... super important.
