I didn't think people could argue something as objective as "1 golem = 12 dwarves" in battle. Wow. Sounds like a pure combat advantage against the darkspawn to me.

You're taking that out of your behind. They never openly state that the anvil is some blood magic device, in fact, we never see it at work. How can you be so certain it's blood magic?
When Caradin is asked about it being a lot like Blood magic, there is no denial. In fact, he continues to inform the Warden even more of the terrible cost and enslavement of his people. The Anvil requires a sacrifice to work; not worth the price to use whether or not the service is voluntary.

I don't support blood-magic but it would be completely justified to use in a war with Darkspawn.

Am fairly certain a variant of this mindset is often used in any war.

Agreed. That's the vibe I've been getting from the for/against Anvil of the Void posters. No one convinces anyone of anything. Not unusual for the internet. lol
At least it was a pleasant discussion/debate with you. Thank you for your insights!

What I find ironic is that Blood Magic itself seems to be viewed in such a favorable light as opposed to The Anvil.
