Since I only play to relax, and given the fact I'm 15 challenges away, my question is legitimate, for I don't know when the servers will be down. As a consequence, I don't know if I will have time enough to achieve them all.

 

Furthermore, my daily occupations and the fact that I do respect the PEGI indications (I wait for the kids to be asleep to play) result in my not being 24/7 on the game.

 

Finally, would you please excuse my bad English in advance, because it is not my mother tongue (I could also have answered you in French or in Dutch, but it would have been an insult to your cleverness : you must be able to speak at least 15 different languages).

I think the purpose of that reply was only to be ironic and not insulting. Botb only shows that you have played the game a lot as most of it's a grind, only exception being Lone Wolf where you need to solo gold.

WRONG!  If you are a challenge point ****** like myself you still do it.....constantly.  I'd guess that 80% of all my games have been lower than level 20.  (Another way I can convince myself along with not hosting that I am a way better player than my scores indicate.)

To get the botb banner you should have to complete every single challenge.  (Excluding the old weekly challenges).  You should have to solo Plat to get it (in which case I would not have the banner, justifiably so)

Eh I don't know.  The Challenges were a way to keep people playing mostly, so I don't know how interested a lot of people would have been to complete all of the gold challenges if they needed a Platinum solo.  They apparently wanted BOTB to be fairly accessible.

It shouldn't be though it should be really really really tough to get.  I do understand what you are saying about why BioWare would want to make it accessible but I'd like to see it be what it says it is.

For the vast majority of players, a Gold solo isn't even close to possible without cheesing it by having your teammates drop out on wave10 or 11.

 

Now most BotB players I see are competent, but some you can tell would have cheated their way through the lone wolf portion

Maybe not a solo, but BotB definitely should have required you to play Platinum. Maybe make half of the platinum wave challenges under Map Mastery mandatory.

 

Being able to earn a title called "best of the best" without even touching the highest difficulty is pretty stupid.
