I just love those smart targets. The small ones, usually the last one, when they deliberately hide and cover behind the whole group the whole time and make you circle the map to get to them.

I once had the last target (engineer) hide between two atlas, repairing them from time to time making it impossible to get a clear shot. The guy trolled me as a LmS wave 10 on ghost and I almost ran out of time before I got the sob.
I had geth scanner so I could clearly see him always going opposite way from where I was about to attack.
It was weird and felt as if he was a real person playing.

Haha...i think i would have liked that. The AI actually playing strategically and not through cheap gameplay mechanics...unlike the geth....:pinched:

While the loading time theory makes sense, shouldn't this issue be more prevalent on PS3, if that is indeed the case? Never seen it in my 3500 games.

Loading time on the respawns is generally why the target switches on a missile though right?  I guess if there were a delay on the elites spawn for some reason it could default to the next acceptable target spawn. Again I've never really noticed this in nearly 7000 games so I think it's pretty rare.

I've seen it happen from time to time but this was the most extreme case so far. But the thing that fascinated me the most is how the bastard always stayed behind the two atlases and immediately switch sides as I was trying to switch flanks. I wish I had this on vid because it's very interesting. And it's like he knew I'm out of missiles.

Most of the targets aren't too aggressive and stay with the pack.  Banshees even do this and can be somewhat irritating as a result if you don't have enough DPS to drop them fast, or missiles.

PS3 is so slow it can't even get a new target
