It is silly. I made a terrible mistake. I should have left it in hell where it belonged.

Yes that hurts but that's reality, isn't it ? Mainstreaming and simplification for profits.
Making a casual game is more difficult than it actually looks. Finding the right mechanic which is almost instinctual is very difficult.
I'm not watching any more weird anime videos. That was enough to last me a lifetime.

Indeed. You have to account for all skill levels when you're truly developing a casual game. I see people throw out the word casual when they like to attack dudebro gamers when really Call of Duty, Battlefield, or whatever else isn't casual in the mechanics department at all. It's not designed for everyone to pick up and enjoy

At least listen to the sermons of Mako.

I'd probably find such a comment in a few minutes time browsing the Black Ops III trailers on YouTube. People really don't know how to hate something properly.

Also just because a game is on a mobile platform it does not automatically make it casual. The games that do well are casual but the device is more than capable to play something with a complex mechanic.
At least listen to the sermons of Mako.
You casual. Though I'm not surprised, you are a girl and a casual by definition according to this thread. What a looser.
My delicate sensibilities are offended.

No we are Asexual.
I don't think we are being helpful by dividing along gender lines.
I would tend to feel more threat as a "gamer" from executives lumping us in with users of mobile platforms not because of the distribution of gender among the platforms, nor yet because of the limitations of those platforms (you can play past BioWare RPGs through on a mobile phone, I have done so), but because mobile platforms are riddled with low quality, low budget and/or simplified games and nickel-and-dime business practices like in-app purchases/paywalls and so on.
If the great RPGs and strategy games of this world are lumps of commodity of no greater or lesser value than the average pay-by-the-second farming/tower defense/coin dozer/jewel puzzle shite that infests the mobile platforms, and that is what executives think they are going to start selling us, we are in for a lot of unpleasant spammy games, and I feel some decent companies will be forced to look at their bottom line making big budget games of quality, then look at how mobile devs sell you something much cheaper and simpler that you pay for again 150 times after the initial purchase, and perhaps even adjust their outlook accordingly.
This thread.... should be purged.

Well it had the unintended side effect of reminding me about that image.
I can now post it in silly threads!
*Insert maniacal laughter here*
