Mine says 9 pm on the 17th as well. Probably because I'm in the pacific time zone.
Preload confirmed for November 14

Because retail is cheaper
Yeah, I guess you got me there. I upgraded my PC for this, and heck. I couldn't afford Origin anymore. Hey, it was about half the price in retail. Don't look at me like that.
What bugs me off more is the Czech postal service. Their motto ("Today you send, tomorrow we deliver") has been changed by the people - to an exaggerated, but still somewhat true form ("Today you send, in a week we might deliver").
Also, since we have Mr. French in the thread, I figured... who else to ask?
Are there any plans for a Digital Deluxe upgrade, like with Mass Effect 3?

Because retail is cheaper
Really? Retail is not cheaper for me not for DA:I anyway. I'd pay €74.99 (XboxOne and PS4 is €79.99) for the Deluxe Edition in Gamestop and €69.99 on Origin.
DA:I is the first brand new AAA game that I'm buying for my PC, all the others I've bought have been through Steam & Origin Sales since I was just buying the PC version of Xbox and PS3 games that I own, and I find the digital version cheaper than the physical version.

Mine says playable 9pm on the 17th as well but I live in California, so I'm assuming yeah, Pacific Time Zone since 3 hours ahead would be midnight. And the East coast is midnight when we're at 9. But whoo PS4 preloading ftw. I'm not getting any sleep that night.

I think it's far simpler than that, really. The game requires a one-time online activation to play, and you probably won't be getting that activation from the server until you try starting the game after the time of release.I dont think it download everything. Someone correct me if Im wrong, but exe and mayber some other files dont download. So it hás no risk to bypass
Seems like Origin charges at the very moment of the pre-order if you pay through Paypal in Sweden, at least. I just found my Paypal transaction history and DAI is in there =)Not usually. Usually your money is processed at a set time before the game releases. Depends on the retailer and I don't quite remember the exact timing for Origin.
(to be honest, I prefer it that way, too)

Where does it say at which time you can pre-load?
I bought it on Origin as well, but I can't find it.

Origin should send an email at least three days before the game can be downlaoded I dont know why they do not do such a thing be helpful for a lot of people

If it's like Steam it should be on the store page.
I haven't bought many games on Origins to be able to tell you reliably.

Because retail is cheaper and there is no real need to start playing the game the exact same second as it gets released. What is there to lose if you can't play until the weekend or if you have to wait only a few extra hours?
I find it unfortunate so many gamers find preloading more important than competitive pricing. It won't take long until publishers will be the only source to buy your games for PC (no longer any other store nor site) and Sony and Microsoft will be the only source for consoles. So everyone will eventually only have one choice, paying full price simply because of the insane want for preloads. Sorry but I am a fan of true competition but this looks rather bleak for the future of entertainment.
Nice post.. but.. there are digital retailers that offer discounts AND preloads. My Mass Effect 3 Digital Deluxe copy was pre ordered at 30 % off and the site offered me the option to preload it at about the same time Origin did. Same thing with Steam and my copy of Saints Row IV.
You're also failing to take into account that a lot of people choose to pre order a digital version of the game in the absence of the option to pre order a physical copy in their local retailers. This has been my case for like... ever. None of the retailers I know in my city (btw I llive on Brazil) work with pre orders for PC.
Also if you're a console gamer around here on Brazil, digital copies are actually cheaper than physical ones, as the latter are imported and usually come at the doubled price. Digital retail has been one of the main factors that has helped diminish piracy on the brazillian market so I don't see the future of entertainment as "bleak".

In Czech Republic, I could either go with Origin (equal to roughly 1400-1500CZK), or Retail (equal to 1200CZK at my retailer of choice - originally about 1100CZK though, the price went up...)
Lemme tell ya, retail is not always more expensive.

Oh I'm not saying that retail is always more expensive. I was just responding to a statement that suggested that retail was always cheaper, which is not what I've found.
There are of course regional differences, but in Ireland I tend to find that the digital version is cheaper.

The Australian PSN still says October 7 ![]()
(I'm ordering digitally because I'm currently living overseas and the region of this country doesn't match my PSN account, but even generally digital prices are equal or only slightly higher than retail, especially for stuff like the Deluxe Edition.)
It's also nice to get things like this preload bonus, and not have to worry about a physical disc.

I live in Canada and I haven't been charged for my pre-order and I bought it through Origin as well, it might have something to do with an individual countries laws and regulations.

Yes, the payment method also factors in as to when you are charged. I would guess that PayPal is immediately and credit cards are pre-auth'd for the purchase price and then processed closer to the day. Sorry, I keep forgetting about PayPal for this.

I wonder if it is a PayPal thing. I was charged when I pre-ordered mine on Origin using PayPal.
I prefer being charged straight away too, particularly now the release date is in November. Most of my November pay is earmarked for Christmas.
Edit: Thanks Derek, it must be the PayPal integration that Origin is using.

Yep...I can start playing at 9PM on November 17th, and I live in California. Sorry I assumed it was for everyone who ordered the digital version. :/ I have work and school the next day, and can't afford to take time off, so I probably won't be able to play anyway booo.

Well, my credit card was charged immediately after the purchase, in fact I have already paid the bill that listed the purchase on Origin.

My paypal was charged when I pre-ordered so it seems to vary depending on where you are and how you pay.

Wow, that's much earlier than I expected

Likely the files will somehow be date locked through Origin. It may be *possible* to bypass it, but I imagine it'd be complicated, as in my experience, Origin will not run if you have the wrong date set on your computer's system. (My computer clock went back to factory default after unplugging it one day - Origin refused to connect until it was changed back.)
I also wouldn't really recommend trying to bypass the Origin check, but that's just me.
In regards countries where it is due to unlock on the 20th/21st then I imagine that people in said places will be able to do the old 'Proxy server' trick which has worked before with other Origin games including the Mass Effect games. Just a case of connecting to the internet via a US (or other country with earlier unlock) proxy server and people will be able to DL and play it on the 18th rather than 20th/21st.

hmmm.
But would there be repercussions to this?
